You must make a lot of money if you can buy a console for just one game!

Actually you don't need that much money for a system plus one game and don't forget new gaming systems are not launched every few months or even every year.

If I'd be interested in a PSV (which I'm currently not but this can always change depending on its future library) and if I bought it for and with just one game - like, say...hm...what available PSV game would I take...*browses current library*...okay: either Uncharted or Gravity Rush plus a 8 GB card - it would currently cost me around 280 € according to amazon.de.

I'm pretty certain there's many people around the world who - on average - spend more money each year on new smartphones, tablet PCs or Ultrabooks (often even despite already having one or more of those devices) than I do on new gaming systems. I know a few people - my niece's boyfriend, to name one - who already plan to replace their current iPhone with the new, still unannounced model. If I'm not mistaken it will cost these people around 600 € or more to "upgrade" a device they already own.

Heh, true.

Except I'm only a kid who doesn't have a job. Must be part of the joys of working and getting money? xD

Why do Japanese love Monster Hunter so much? I tried the first one and it was really bad. Are the others better?

I played the one on the Wii (Monster Hunter Tri) and it was really good, the online give it much more depth (and it didn't have friend codes!!!), but if you didn't like the first one I highly doubt you would like any other, since the gameplay mechanic is pretty much the same.

Monster Hunter is like a what COD is to the west, people go nuts when it comes to that game, but to specifically name what made the series so famous I can't really tell.

4. and that makes it worse don't you get it, that's the point of the outrage, this is suppose to the next main entry into the series and this is what they come up with...... this shit:

fucking really???

shame..... shame on you Capcom smfh

Okay, you don't even need to go any further. You clearly aren't a Monster Hunter fan, and it's super obvious.

For the little I've played of Monster Hunter Tri G, and the little I've seen of Freedom, I can already tell you that this looks 100 times better than those in terms of action and gameplay, and I'm not even a MH fan. If graphics are all you care about, then you're obviously not a true fan. And plus, even with graphics on par with the Wii version, it still looks fantastic, and will much more so on the portable screen.

When Squaresoft released Final Fantasy IV the after years, did I complain that it was in 2D? Certainly not. As a staunch fan of FF IV, I would have bought the game had it come out on a fricking Wonderswan for all I care.

Now that we've cleared out that nonesense, let me tackle your excuses:

1. not an opinion, if you can't see how vastly superior the Vita is to the 3DS then I don't know what to tell you

You're shifting goalposts from overall hardware design to simply graphics and online. Fail.

2. and there you go with that Nintendo fan ultimatum, everything is black and white with you guys becasue you don't know the joys of the other side of the fence, blind loyalty and nostalgia gives you a very narrow view on things and that just sad, NO, they Don't have to focus on one OR the other, on PlayStation platforms they can focus on both equally, giving no more attention to either or, games can not only look great but they can play great as well

I don't disagree that games can look good and play great. Problem is, the one that isn't seeing the other side of the coin is you, since you still don't concede that time spent on graphics is less time spent on depth. The accusations should now be placed back on the one truly with the narrow view.

3.wii vs ps3, that kinda answers itself

It sure does, it answers that you're shifting the goalposts once again and fail to read what people tell you, hence throwing fire to a war that need not exist. The point wasn't Wii vs PS3, it was (Wii or PS3) vs PSP, both being vastly superior to the portable counterpart from a graphics PoV (the point of that subtopic).

this is going nowhere we are going to have to agree to disagree

If I remember your posts correctly you have several Nintendo systems plus an iPod and your brother owns a PS3, i.e. I your diposable "income" is without a doubt larger than mine when I was at your age.

That's my parents money not mine. (That and some of these were Christmas Gifts.)

And how did you remember all of this?!

Here's what doesnt make sense. 3DS has been out for some time and it has been known that MH would be on it. Vita just released and as of now there isnt going to be a MH on it. My thing is if these people opted to get the Vita ANYWAY, then they are just plain stupid and letting their hatred of Ninty or whatever blind them

Has nothing to do with hatred or fanboyism. Just pure preference.

Vita has much better specs than the 3DS and that alone is what decides it for some people.

There's a Monster Hunter game on Xbox 360. That doesn't mean MH fans went out and bought one just for that......

Then they aren't true fans.

@OP. Fanboyism. When Final Fantasy VII came out on Playstation, I was shocked since to me Final Fantasy meant Nintendo. I abandoned Megaman X even though I loved it because it went to the playstation. FFVII & VIII I ended up playing on the PC thanks to Eidos, but when IX came out I caved in. Also, I really regret abandoning X :( I wouldn't do something like that today. If I'm a true fan of something, I'll follow it to the end. When Street Fighter IV came out for the 360, I was very tempted to buy the 360 arcade just for that game. I actually had a 360 in my hands, but couldn't really afford it at that time it was a compulsive buy. Had I had a bit more spare change I swear I would have bought the 360 just for Street Fighter IV.

this, had a similar experience with the original XBOX many moons ago. it was for Ninja Gaider, i remember playing the original on NES, but wasnt hyped for the new ones, but i played it and loved it, I had an Xbox in hand and was going to get it just for that. But it was stupid at the time, no funds and my damn roomate had an Xbox, so i put it back.  (I wouldnt actually get the game till the Vita version just a few weeks back)

what does that have to do with anything? Im a KH fan and yes Vita has better specs, but thats not stopping me from getting KH 3D when it comes out on 3DS, because im a fan of the series not the hardware.  MH is really popular in Japan, 360 not so much, of course people werent going to buy it. Not when there were 3 other viable systems to play it on.

There are these people called Tech Geeks.

because they don't have a 3ds? because the 3ds would be a weaker platform for a console game?

it all depends on what and who has what. I mean if a halo came out on PS3 I am sure a lot of people that had both consoles would be like ZOMG A HALO ON PS3 I am getting it.
now of course if it was like halo 3 on PS3 no 360 owner would care.

EXACTLY.

Better specs can mean better games.
