Forums - Nintendo - You know what would be cool? (Nintendo retail downloads)

You buy the game weeks before, enter the code on the e-shop that day and hit 'download later'. It will do 'download sleep mode' thing automatically on mid night launch

Kitler says it does that on steam.

You buy the game in advance, and steam downloads it in the background, and on the day the game is released it's unlocked and ready to play.

I'm not trying to discredit the idea, but if it's there let's not deny it either.

Pre-orders works perfectly fine for me. But I guess this is a nice idea.

Oh it actually download and install the game before it is released. I thought he meant it downloads automatically on the day but in the background. Well its two different methods but I guess its the same effect. Steam can't do the sleep mode thing anyway, so this method is more convenient for gamers imo.

PC doesn't count any way so :P

Yeah it will make downloading huge games on the 3ds a lot more seemless, and other benefits
