Why do adults watch Pixar or Dreamworks movies? Sure, they've got a cute and cuddly aesthetic that reaches out to young ones with ease, but the writing, animation, and subtle references are enough to entertain adults as well. It's this brand new concept known as "all ages entertainment."

I'm sure the show STARTED as just for kids, but all of Lauren Faust's shows apparently meshed will with an adult demographic. There's nothing wrng with a show that's easily enjoyable by kids but cleverly written enough that adults can enjoy it, too.

This is actually sexism...a young boys show wouldn't get nearly the amount of ire a little girls show does...if it's a show for young boys, then no biggie, whatever..but a little girls show? We're all creepy perverts or whatever. Sexism as its most subtle, boys and girls!

... all of? All one? Unless we are also counting the fact that she did one of the short series in DC Nation shorts (something I'm not sure has caught on with adults) as making that her show what are the others? The powerpuff girls and foster's were not her creations or shows.

Turkish says and I'm allowed to quote that: Uncharted 3 and God Of War 3 look better than Unreal Engine 4 games will or the tech demo does. Also the Naughty Dog PS3 ENGINE PLAYS better than the UE4 ENGINE.

She had significant input on those two because she worked on them and was married to the person overseeing it, and her name is not essential to the point being made.

PPG, MLP, SBFF and her Galaxy Girls are almost identical.

Is she married to McCracken?

The Pixar movie line is neither here or there. Those movies are meant for everyone. MLP not only isnt meant for everyone but has a set gender and set age boundaries.

Hasbro has set age boundaries  in mind, yes. Because they only care about toy sales. The creator of the show has a number of interview stating that her intention was for it to appeal to everyone

What qualities seperate a kids and adult show in your view?

When I watch something like the Big Bang Theory it is incredibly immature with sex references every other line and completely unrealistic depictions of the character's lives and actions.

@d21lewis

I respect that.

I just finished watching the latest season and I couldn't agree more... The show has become a complete joke. I can't believe its viewers avg. is still on the rise.

Her having significant input does not somehow magically make a show hers. If that was the case then we could say MLP isn't hers as someone else has significant input too. Also the fact those shows are almost identical merely shows that she took inspiration from other's work. As she wasn't even involved with PPG when it began but she has used a similar style. In fact her role in the PPG was tiny compared to other people's.

Also the fact she was married to the actual creator is most definitely not something to use as a positive. In fact I would say it is a HUGE negative. So she is married to someone who is the show's creator, executive producer, one of the writers and directors. Then despite having only ever having worked as a simple animator before she all of a sudden gets to write and direct a few episodes........ I wonder why. That is an inspiring story. Marry a talented person and just let them get you work.

I didn't say the show was hers. We're not a hive mind, I don't speak for all pony fans and you can't attribute every statement to "the fans" as a whole.

Nepotism is real in entertainment, yes. It's off topic though, direct your rage elsewhere. I am stating a fact - she is married to them, the shows look similar. Draw your own conclusions. What matters is if people like the end result. Some do. You don't. Not really seeing where we can take this discussion.

Semantics. Lauren Faust was the producer of the first season, she got that shit going, in my mind it's her show.

My point still stands whether it's 'her' show or not.
