Qouted for truth.
Seems people forgot about the new "color" (lol) and quicky downplaying the Vita.

I don't think people should have that high of hopes for the new colour on the Vita. Seeing as how it's doing currently it won't do much.

New colors do boost numbers very well.
Pokemon Black & White 2: Black Beats White, Pre-Order Figures and Other Stats
Sequel performs well, but not up to its predecessor's level.
Pokemon Black & White 2 sold 80.17% of stock, Media Create reported today. As reported earlier in the week, the game topped the weekly sales charts with 1,561,738 units.
While 80.17% is a high sell-through rate, it's not as high as the original Black & White's 87.65%. Media Create explains the difference by suggesting that because Pokemon Co. did not provide any sort of early buyer bonus, there was no reason for Black & White players to rush to pick up the game.
Media Create also reports that Black was the more popular of the two versions, selling 817,000 units compared to White's 745,000 units. Of the total 1.56 million sales, 1.29 came from pre-orders. This is the second highest pre-order figure for the series. The highest was the original Black & White, with 1.88 million pre-orders leading to a first week total of 2.56 million sales.

The Vita needs games not colors. In the upcoming weeks the Vita sales will fall and fall.

It's colour, but I don't think it'll make a huge difference, same with MGS collection, as it hasn't got huge pre-orders in the COMG thread. Maybe holding level, or a 1k increase, rather than dropping, but if it's above 15k I will be mightily shocked.

I think you will be mightly shocked. The new white vita will definitely give a bump. You can see the release of the ceramic white psp at 15th september 2005.
Basically it goes: Averaging around 23k a week, then gets a boost to 60k with the white vita and over a few weeks drops down to averaging out at 28k.
I would expect that with sales of 13k this week that the white vita can easily take it over 20k and maybe much higher. Then over the next few weeks it will probably just drop down to a few thousand more than it was averaging at before.
Will Vita finally start to consistently outsell PSP. Or if Vita still on a downward slide after last week's boost?
PS3 >2*Wii. Wii U can't come soon enough.
