The last two 13 and 13-2 were pure estrogen and pretty boring. 13 bad world, boring combat. 13-2 bad characters and simple story through most. I do not expect much. |
I would say FF8 had a femine style and in years to come i will compare that Squall/Rinoa stuff to that Twlight 'stuff'. FF8 had semi-awful characters, simply, predictably droll story. not a scratch on FF9 or FF12. other than that i agree.
FF15 is rumoured to be in development, so i'm more looking foward to that. its best to leave the masterpeices in the past imo. and focus on new things.

I wouldn't agree that the love story of FF VIII makes it feminine, mostly because the males are actually tough like real soldiers would be. The weak ff males act like emotional teenagers who you could never see fighting and winning battles like 9, 10 with Tidus and the surfer dude. Thirteen and it's sequel felt like it morphed male characters with fasion show designers and models or with emo boys wearing colorful clothing instead of black. It was horrorendously unappealing to many. I could probably post countless youtube videos to make my point, but I will spare all.
I do agree though that 7 is by far the apex and that they shouldn't redo it because it's world and story is to vast to do at a high graphical level they go for. They said this themselves. I will give 15 a chance maybe, but 13-2 was an easy button masher. You basically grinded through the whole game. So even though it improved much over 13 it still failed in more areas. I am not hyped for 15 and I bought my PS3 thinking ff 13 would be an exclusive.
