$99 bundled with a good Mario game (for the sake of comparison, I'd pay $299 for the PS4 or Xbox 720)

That's ridiculous.  There's no way it would be $99, and the PS4/720 would not be $299 unless they want to have the same specs as the Wii U.  I think the Wii U will be around $250-400.   If I had the money, I would pay at most $300 to buy it day 1.  However, I don't have much money to spare for a home console, so I probably wont be able to buy it day one regardless of its price.

EDIT: When I say same, I mean similar.

Did you even look at the topic's title? Its asking "what price would it take for YOU to buy the system on day 1", not what price it should be marketing wise (like as if there werent threads about that particular subject).

The problem here is that "would you pay" also assumes how much you think the console is worth.  This also isn't an issue of the money he has because he said he would pay $299 for PS4 or 720, which actually is possible.

Not really, the topic's asking what price would it take for the consumer/poster to buy the system at day 1, he said his honest answer, I see nothing wrong with that. He stated his opinion and I dont see anything wrong with that.

Then I am stating my opinion on his opinion.  There's no reason for an argument here beyond that.

If that is the case, than in my opinion, you shouldnt have a opinion on his opinion, which in my opinion seems to be the best opinion in terms of opinions at least to me in my opinion.

It's better than mindlessly insulting someone, at least.

50 dollars. No way I'm getting it anytime soon after launch. My hands are still too full with my PS3. She's still a baby!

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

please guys stop trolling
responses like 99$, 50$, 20$ etc... are offensive and nonesensical....

Assuming Mario, Pikmin and Project P100 are all holiday games, then I'd easily pay $349 for the hardware (and the inevitable bundled game). But it'll likely only be $299 anyway, so day one buy for me regardless.

it could be up to $400, i would buy day one if they release a pokemon rpg

It would have to be available on day 1 without midnight line-ups.
$349 in Canada probably. CAD 399 is still ok for me.
I paid CAD 649 for the ps3 at launch, but that was because I wanted a blu-ray player.

Not going to lie, my ZombieU buzz is totally dead. Now I have zero reason to buy it, so it would have to be super cheap to get me excited as there aren't any games that I want for it. That plus the achievement news, total buzz killer. I'd say $150, which isn't realistic. I pretty much gave up on the console right now.

I can afford to spend up to $600 that night, (midnight release) but I am planning on picking up at least 1 game with it, and another Controller Pad or at least the Pro Controller, so I am hoping the actual console does not go over $450, other wise I might take home a console with no game XD...(That Nintendo Land better be free)
