Well Mario is a franchise, and Mario Kart should be included in it (In a way so should things like Smash Bros.)

Mario Kart is a series of games in and of itself, but still spawns from Mario.

well we all know that list is bull. It is just ripped from wikipedia. Like 5 franchises are listed as 100m they were all announced to hit that sometime ago.
