The only thing next-gen has to offer is better graphics. I don't expect the gameplay will be different.

yea, same here, I have a backlog of atleast 20 games for my PS3 and I tend to finish maybe 4-5 a year on average
The prospects of what next-gen can offer is really exciting. The Uncharted series has shown us a peak of what will be possible next-gen. But am I sick of this gen? No, not yet. I've seen the limitations that current hardware produces, but I'm able to live with that for now. Dark Souls is one of my favorite games this generation and it was hardly a technical powerhouse. That proves that we (or at least "I") don't need uber-level graphics and big spectacular in-game events to enjoy the experience.
I more feel that I've missed out on some key genres this generation. Where were all the RPG games? What about horror? It feels like there has been something missing this generation in the game selection compared to last-gen. There have been some fantastic games, but I don't see things improving much on the variety front leaping into next-gen. We won't see much in the way of new games in the less popular genres and might even see a complete absence of them. I'm really afraid for the latter as there was a big lapse in this generation already.
The bottom line: Next-gen will offer improved experiences for the games we have now, but at the cost of almost complete absence of existing genres.
I don't know why people tell me to get a life. I'm a gamer, I have lots of lives!
Sorry Last of Us and God of War: Ascension makes me say no. Feeling sad for the enraged PC gamers though. Till then they can atleast keep enjoying better resolution and textures for the multiplatform titles.

Next gen games will be about more interactive environments, more near CGI gameplay renderings, highly improved textures and details. 720p though will be standard res, I don't see any improvements coming further.

Glad Battlefield 3 on PC is a Next Gen Game - At least in the shooter department i don't have to play a game with an Engine from 1999.
And the other games i play are PS3 Exclusives and they look great anyway.
I would probably be mad if i only had Kinect Star Wars and such stuff to play but with PC Multiplats and PS3 Exclusives you are still happy.
Not even close to wanting this gen (PS3) to be over. I think I have at least 25 existing games on my want to play list, and at least another 10-15 on my might like to play list. And at the rate I buy games that's probably 5 years of gaming right there. And then there's the yet to be released PS3 games. I have a 10 year strategy for PS3 even if Sony doesn't.

I disagree, I think next gen needs to offer better performance metrics over improved graphics. I'm happy with devs having an easier time achieving God of War III, Uncharted 2/3, KZ3, Crysis graphics but the graphics don't need to be any better than that.
