Forums - Nintendo - Pokemon Black and White 2 earned four points less than the original in Famitsu Magazine

For a second there I thought that was a really bad thing.

Lol, not at all. It even got a 10 from one of their reviewers!

No buy. I can't play anything less than perfect.

Famitsu reviews....the last publication I would ever go by to determine a game's quality (or lack of). Or at least, they're up there with the worst of our western equivalents.

So what is suppose to be different in version 2?

Also, why they still making DS pokemon games? Wouldn't it make more sen to make a 3DS version to increase sales of the device like pokemon did for DS?

Other Famitsu scores:

[NDS]: Pokemon Black & White 2: 10, 9, 9, 8
[3DS]: Detective Saburo Jinguji: Rondo of Vengeance: 7, 7, 7, 8
[3DS]: Culdcept: 8, 8, 8, 8
[PSP]: Generation of Chaos 6: 8, 8, 8, 8
[PSP]: Strike Witches: 7, 7, 7, 6
[WII]: Fatal Frame 2 Crimson Butterfly: 8, 9, 8, 9
[PS3]: Atelier Ayesha: 9, 8, 9, 8
[PS3]: .hack//Versus: 8, 8, 8, 7

They did not want to just desert all their loyal DS owners supposedly. Pokemon Conquest as well...O_o

Which is illogical because the whole concept of pokemon is to transform when they gain more and more experience.

So in theory they shoudl be transforming their asses to next gen 3DS haha.

Only reason I say that is because if a pokemon game comes out to 3Ds in the next year, it won't have the same impact on 3DS sales as DS is already flooded with two new ones which people will play for a while.

Maybe they realized their mistakes with the last game and that is why they gave this one a fair 36/40.

Oh, I wasn't talking about this game specifically.

They're really pumping out those Atelier games, aren't they? One of my study-abroad colleagues played two different Atelier games on the PS3, and i know there are more than this one and the two he played...

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Famitsu is kind of derp so I look forward to future reviews from more esteemed reviewers!

I agree with what you are saying. I would hope that Nintendo makes some sort of incentive to get people to want to play it on the 3DS. Maybe some downloadable content. But that is just a wish. Long live the DS!

You can buy in the e-shop the pokemon AR game that can catch and then transfer to B&W2 several pokemon and specially alternate-versions of three legendary pokemon (Landorus, Thundurus and Tornadus). So i guess that could count as a incentive (it's Nintendo who are we talking about!)
