Maybe if you guys stopped debating on the internet and went out and got the GOTY Gravity Rush maybe Vita wouldn't be in such trouble

For Vita? Yes.

Overall? Not a chance. We've already had games like Xenoblade, TLS, Resident Evil Revelations, Mass Effect 3 so far, and games like Pikmin 3, The Last Of Us, Borderlands 2, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon and Paper Mario:Sticker Star, to name a few, which I believe either currently are, or will be, better.

Not knocking Gravity Rush, but it's too flawed (repetitive combat, meh story so far) to be GOTY material.

Out the ones that you've listed and have released, Xenoblade is the only one that I've heard mentioned anywhere close to these sort of lists. Everyone hated Mass Effect 3, TLS apparently is just decent, and RE:R isn't near that tier either.

Not saying Gravity Rush will win over those, but you haven't exactly  provided some great counters that are currently out.

I mentioned in my personal opinion, actually. As I said, I'm currently only just beginning Gravity Rush, and it's great, but I prefer these games more at the point I was in the game after the same amount of time.

And it'll take something VERY special to beat Xenoblade, I can assure you.

Because the Vita is perfect and so are the games....?

The Vita's a very good bit of kit, but it's not perfect. Mine's a Wifi model, and I like it a lot. But my Triangle button sticks from time to time, and it takes far too long to boot up from standby. Those are my 2 biggest 'issues'.

The games are far from perfect. The only games which come anywhere near it for me are this and Rayman: Origins. But there's a few promising titles on the horizon, so we'll wait and see!

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

COD, AC, FIFA, LBP, FF should be able to carry it through the holiday alive. It won't sell amazing or anything until the price cut but theres enough software to stop it from being a total shipwreck. Price cut is really needed though.

I don't think Sony are doing too much wrong other then needing better software. $250 is just too much for a dedicated handheld now I think.

it wont die, itll just sell horrible in comparison to 3DS.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Slow sales means millions lost every single day.`That's business...

There won't be any price cut this year guys. Sony as a whole simply cannot afford it (in case of the PS3, other Sony departements were doing well enough to compensate for the huge PS3 losses, now those departements are causing the huge losses).

Sony prefers a weak selling Vita that is profiting over a good selling Vita causing losses. Maybe there'll be a price cut at the end of 2013.

Zero chances of not happening.

How can you explain 10 million vitas sold then?

It seems like everybody who is bored here creates a Vita will die Thread :/

If the Vita was doing better, those people probably wouldn't be bored. :P

To be honest I rarely see much advertising for the Vita unless Its just the area I live in. The vibe I get from Sony on the Vita currently is that they don't want to commit too much in advertising to it unless they see it start to sell well. I have been seeing plenty of 3DS advertisements. If Sony really wants to see the Vita take off in sales they have to embrace it and commit a lot of advertising to get word out. They have to really sell it in a way that makes portable gamers see that the Vita has unique gaming experiences not seen anywhere else for the $.

The problem is as a consumer I don't get the feeling that Sony is fully embracing their own handheld, its more of a "wait, hope, and see" attitude from my viewpoint.

The 3DS has almost no interesting games in the West at the moment but still sell 2x more than the Vita.

Super Mario Land, Mario Kart, Resident Evil, Kid icarus, Metal Gear, Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, Street Fighter ...

I think the Vita is already dead, the E3 proved that clearly.
