I'm dependent currently...but that will end as soon as I head to college as the colleges nearby aren't ideal for my engineering interests. But boy, out of state tuition rates are ABSURD! So I am going to have to buy a car, rent a place,and so on. Right now I'm split on where i'll end up, so far colleges in California, Texas, and Illinois catch my eye. Now I ak not sure but I think i remember reading the tuition. Cost for out of state students at this top engineering school in San Diego was near 20,000

18 is nothing. im 23 and for the most part still the same. still living at home and got a new job

Going to school is probably worse and more of a responsibility than anything ahead of you.

When I turned 18, nothing happened, lol @ people thinking its some magical age where everything change the second you turn 18, people need to chill. Sure my legal status changed, but it wasnt like my character suddenly changed or feeling like I had more responsibilities.

There really is nothing magical about turning 18. Only that in the law you are now an adult. Whether there are increased responsibilities is really down to each person.

For myself? Leaving school and going to University was the absolute best time ever with very very little responsibilities.

When you graduate and have to get a job? Yea that's when you start getting responsibilities, having to worry about a career and if you are going anywhere etc.

Blerg. If I could be in University forever I would happily take it lol.

Absolutely nothing changed, I am almost 20 now, the only difference was literally now I can get into pubs & buy alcohol legally with visual ID. Other than that I am still a lazy ass student who does fuck all, luckily my parents do not demand rent as I am still studying and just work part time. Typical fucking lazy ass. The only way I can possibly think of your life may change is if you manage to impregnate some chick.

I turned 18 last month and nothings change still warning for my test finals before I get a chance to apply for a college or university
