The big hole I find in this is that the PS Move is in a worse position and it gets no article. Wii is winding down but WiiU saves the day.

Kinect is the industries biggest motion interest as of now and this will only continue with next gen Xbox.

Even when you succeed, theres haters.

yes, indeed. redicolous that sony's move gets no article. but on the other side, the 100 owners should know that sony's support for move could be way better :)

did sony even mention move at e3?

MOVE had more support than motion+ and almost as much as Kinect, and SPorts Champions 2 was announced at E3, if your gonna troll at least know what your talking about

Clearly we have two ideas of "Move Support". Many, like me, dont count controller based games with motion added as a tack on. Like I dont consider Forza 4, ME3, or GRFS "kinect games". True Kinect and Move games stand on their own feet.

And in that regard....its pure fact that Move specific games are few and far between....even fewer that manage to score above 70 on metacritic. Sorry if the truth is trolling in your eyes.

Here the thing those games you mention for Kinect dont actually USE the motion function at all. the use the mic, so you would be stupid to consider those games as kinect games. KZ3, GE Reloaded, HR, MAG, RE5 etc actually USe the motion control aspect.

As for Move specific games...your right Ill give you that. BUt lets be real here, what possible Move specific games could they have? minigame collections, exercise, dance?? THe same shovelware nonsense that i hated on my Wii and the same nonsense thats invading the 360?? If you like those games have at you. I dont, im more than happy playing some core games with motion "tacked-on"

Among the games I listed, only ME3 is purely mic based. Forza and GR can be motion controlled to an extent. But even if it was just the mic, thats part of what kinect can do.

Point is though, the vast majority of gamers that play hybrid kinect/Move titles do so with what they were intended to be played with....a gamepad controller.

Well you pretty much validated that even with buttons the typical Move specific game cant reach beyond what Kinect has already accomplished. Your all free to play those tacked on Move functionality games, but you must know your a tiny minority in that respect.

i know im in the minority, i dont need millions of other jackasses to validate my fun. Have a blast with Steel battalion LOL

Lol like Move doesnt have its own flops. Heroes on the Move, Medieval Moves, but its ok.... enjoy Wonderbook :P

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

In the end we can all speculate at what Kinect could of and should of been, but it ultimately falls down to Microsoft's initial promise: It's the future. Well, we're yet to see any real official signs of that; the gaming community did show a spark of genius that was quickly diminished by Microsoft's brute attitude to their hardware and software being tampered with, and the possibility of any real innovative ideas or revolutionary games coming to the device seem slim. The question no longer seems to be "Will it be the future?", but " Does it have a future?".

This statement is utterly false and makes me wonder if the author has any idea what he is even talking about on any of his proposed arguments.

Microsoft did not have a brute/rejecting attitude toward the Kinect hardware being hacked or tampered with. Quite the opposite actually! They released the development SDK for free and encouraged hackers and technology enthusiasts everywhere to come up with great new uses and ideas for Kinect!

those games suck, but they still got better reviews than Steel Batallion. And no i will pass on Wonderbook, but will get Sports Champions and Bioshock when that comes. Tell me how your Fable is working out will you? Thanks

Man, Kinect is about happiness and bringing people together. If Kinect saw how you guys were all at each others throats, It would be really disappointed in all of you.

What's really killing Kinect is just that hideous bright green-purple colour matching on the boxes: aesthetes cannot forgive such abomination!!!

Well then I'll just stick to my Wii

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

Personally, I'm okay with the Kinect. Far from perfect but its been some of the more enjoyable casual experiences I've had.

I'm really just hoping they don't drop the ball on Fable: The Journey.

This must be absolutely the most BRAIN DEAD feature of these forums.
