"I really feel like I'm satisfied with the 3DS hardware as it is. I feel like it's the best for this generation," Miyamoto told me, when I asked about the Nikkei's recent report about a 3DS XL, and whether his company did have plans for something similar. The Nintendo executive noted that his company is always thinking about what's next. "What we're thinking about right now is probably going to be for a future generation of handheld."

This news saddens my heart. I'm so ready for a new 3DS, as I think the ds lite (and every other DS after it) has a better design than the 3DS.

I still have hope, as Nikkei is not know to fabricate news and Nintendo would never admit that before the proper announcement.

But it's probably not going to be released as soon as I wish for... hmm, that american purple 3DS is now more appealing.

This isnt really news. HW developers are always thinking about the next successor.

but I agree with Miyamoto. The 3DS is perfect. Really nothing wrong with it.

Sony copying Nintendo once again confirmed

The memory sticks are gonna cost 150 dollars each just like their headsets.

I'm ready for Nintendo to create my .hack/SIGN, complete virtual reality experience, via a handheld. A man can dream! :D
