I could dig that, certainly seems like a game that will be noticably prettier on PC's and newer consoles.

Well to be fair, Ubisoft does seem to be the only major publisher supporting the Wii U right now, so if they didn't put Watch Dogs on the platform, they might actually have a reason for it, even though it'd be a shame.

Ubisoft was biased against the Wii in their own way. They didn't put their "prestige" games on there, and Watch Dogs looks like a "prestige" effort. If you want prestige, you don't develop for Nintendo platforms.
Which also shows that Ubisoft has stopped caring about Assassin's Creed.

I'm sorry, but I totally disagree here, Ubisoft's "prestige" games didn't run on the Wii simply because it would have taken too much dumbing down to a point where you could hardly call the games "prestige" anymore.
Assassin's Creed is a different matter because the Wii U is at least a bit more "powerful" than a PS3, and supposedly relatively straight forward to develop for, so bumping up the 360 or PS3 version of Assassin's Creed 3 just makes sense.
just my 2 cents though.

Or they don't want to spend time developing ways to utilize the tablet controller since, you know, Wii U owners will more likely be attracted to titles that use it. If it is a game that PS3/360 owners can already get, it will have no selling point.
Not saying there is no developer bias or anything like that, they just might not be the only reasons.
It seems like this game could really compute(?) well with the Wii U. Everything seems to be well suited for a touchscreen.

If the devs want to use gamepad or if its an old port like batman then the gamepad is a natural fit. I just hope that it comes. The gamepad will be great if they can find a good use for it, but I do not want devs to do what they did with the wii and think they have to incorporate it with each game. Who els thinks the conduit would have been better with classic controller option? |
I pnly played that game once, but did it not have CC support?? I really thought it did. THat sucks. Yeah more options are always better, but in terms of sales. I think it still would have sucked as it did.

just out of curiousity, how are you going to do this. There are much more people who are just willing to buy the consoles that play the games they want or just keep playing on what they have. A lot more than people who think like you, hell id be willing to bet in the real world most people dont care about "developer bias"

I agree, i meant merely in the image of permanently branding them as irrational Nintendo haters (with no excuse or ability to prove otherwise, in perpetuity), not in the interest of not buying their games. I mean, i still buy Capcom's games on a time even after the crap they pulled on Wii

Dont new ip's usually do well at the beginning of a console's life
