Forums - Gaming - What are your 2012 purchasing plans? (post-Gamescom)

Ok, there are still some doubts about Wii U price so that console is a maybe, but if the price is right some PS3 versions will become Wii U versions.

PS3:
Dead Space 2
Tales of Graces F
Dark Souls
Batman: Arkham City GOTY
Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition
Dishonored
Darksiders 2
Assassin's Creed 3

Wii:
Last Story
Pikmin 2

3DS:
System itself
Kid Icarus
Paper Mario
Fire Emblem
Castlevania: Mirror of Fate

Wii U: (if price is right)
System itself
Pikmin 3
Darksiders 2 (instead of PS3 version)
Assassin's Creed 3 (instead of PS3 version)
Batman Arkham City (instead of PS3 version)

And there are some maybes, that I will not include in the list.

I hope Nintendo does decent bundling and not just with Nintendo Land. They need a FPS bundle to attempt and push PS360 owners. Of course whatever it is (blops2) they also need to advertise heavily why its superior version and the one you must purchase.

Hmm, Borderlands 2 is the only one I'm buying for sure as of now.
Perhpas Assasin's Creed III and Uncharted 3 and Risen 2.

Preordered:

Halo 4
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed
Zone of the Enders HD Collection

Maybe:

007 Legends
Resident Evil 6
Far Cry 3
Transformers: Fall of Cybertron
Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor

Tomb Raider, Bioshock Infinite, Aliens CM, and Crimson Dragon all got delayed, but I will be pre-ordering them at some point.

Wii: The Last Story

3DS:
New Super Mario Bros 2.
If in 2012: Fire Emblem: Awakening
Else: Resident Evil: Revelations

Wii U:
Pikmin 3
New Super Mario Bros U

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Obviously most people haven't put too much thought into their lists. It seems most everyone is just rattling off lists of games they like. Rather then paying any heed to release dates, or the money they will actually spend. Seriously some of you plan to spend over two thousand dollars on games this year. I for one don't buy that a appetite that voracious would have had you renting your games ages ago.

Personally this years event hasn't changed my purchasing plan one iota, and with all of the titles slipping into early next year. I really needed some mid tier games to step up to the plate. Sadly I am still left reaching just as much as I was before the show. Here is my list from most coveted to least, but they are all games I plan to get this year.

Xbox 360

Must Have

Halo 4. (Seriously this needs no explanation.)
Borderlands 2. (The first one was fantastic fun, and its great to have a cooperative game to play with friends.)
Skyrim Dawnguard. (This expansion will stoke the fires once more.)

Slim Pickings the best of the rest.

Farcry 3. (Eh it has exploration.)
Dragons Dogma. (Eh they say it is decent, but I ain't paying full price for this.)

Ain't getting my hopes up for this, but will buy it if it shows up.

Grand Theft Auto 5.( Expect to be playing this game this time next year, but stranger things have happened.)

Don't mention these game to me.

Assassins Creed 3. (AKA Fuck piggy piggy fuck piggy piggy. Kudos to anyone who gets the reference.)
Risen 2. (Its predecessor murdered my old 360. I ain't giving this one the chance for a repeat.)
Resident Evil 6. ( Weren't the bad movies punishment enough.)
Fable the Journey. (What the hell is Microsoft thinking.)

PS3

Resident Evil 6

LittleBigPlanet Karting

Playstation All-Stars Battle Royal

PSN

Ratchet & Clank Full Frontal Assault

Resident Evil Chronicles HD

PSV

Gravity Rush

LittleBigPlanet

Soul Sacrifice

PC

Fallout New Vegas

The Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion

The Elder Scrolls 5 Skyrim
