Sorry for the late start.
I woke up in a cold sweat, the horrifying vision during my slumber still very vivid. A fighter was bested by another, falling dead to the ground. And then an instant later half of the remaining combatants were all struck down simultaneously. Soonafter, the guards assigned to each lord and lady began in-fighting and one by one the loyal guards were overcome, helpless to do anything as the nobles were murdered.
I ordered my squire to ready my armor, donning it underneath my robes, and holstered a sword so that it was concealed but would be relatively easy to draw if need be. I also commanded him to ready my steed behind our viewing area. Finally, on our way to the arena I dimissed our guards, insisting that the proof of the cheater's being brought to justice was already evident in the happenings yesterday. I insisted that my reputation hinged upon not appearing a coward like others. The guards were hesitant or at least feigned it, but eventually they obliged.
"It may not have meant anything, but no reason not to take extra precaution." I said reassuring myself.
"Yes, my lord."
When we took our seats alone, my squire informed me of another death overnight. It was none other than the one we heard about on our travels the first day, who gained everyone's animosity but in the end nobody would kill him. Someone or someones finally decided the dishonorable kill would have to be made after all.
Baalzamon had died. He was TOWN Unlynchable.
