Forums - Nintendo - Publishers ‘Seem More Excited for PS4/Next Xbox Than Wii U’

Sell well by selling core 3rd party games of course.^

We all know what sold well on the wii, but if Nintendo can get gamers to purchase big 3rd party games right off the bat and keep them buying these games then devs will change their minds. Keep the second rate House of the Dead and Dead Space games away!

One way that that could happen is if Nintendo tries to push the games. AKA, marketing.

Dragon Quest is being Published by Nintendo now, and that is already a huge plus. I'm pretty sure they did this so that DQ games could get more popular in the West and be localized more often. If Nintendo did this every once in awhile, with good 3rd party games, I don't see why 3rd parties wouldn't want to come over.

I think the next Playstation will be called PS4. Just a hunch.

I thought that would be pretty obvious, too.

When I was saying that names haven't even been confirmed I was leaning towards saying that, "Nothing has been announced."

Sure, nothing has been officially announced yet. But we've heard rumors of developers starting work on next-gen games and I think it was even confirmed for the next Xbox.

Of course it would be in development. When I heard Project Cafe was in development I wasn't surprised or hyped.

I also have a thread dedicated to the hardware. There is not much that different to be excited over. So I'm betting this is not based on reality but based on the unknown.

After Nintendo's horrible and in my opinion their worst E3 conference to date no wonder they are not exicted! it was really bad! Microsoft's conferance was little below decent and Sony's was good but overall disappointing E3.

can u blame them nintendos e3 conference was a train wreck i thought they said they were going back to the hardcore market umm i think not nintendo land lol

what else is new

Many of these publishers are interested in increasing the visual fidelity of their experiences which is probably why.

A WiiU game will require more deep thinking into the gameplay...something many devs simply don't do nowadays.

I am eager to see what Kojima is going to do with the WiiU & its tablet...the buy always comes up with very interesting ways of integrating the hardware & the software. The WiiU must surely be his dream system. I can only imagine how good a potential MGS5 could be on the WiiU!
