Good to see you've learned your lesson, Factor 5. These guys will show the Wii's true power to all the unbelievers.

I hope it's something good.

Isn't the wii about fun and gameplay and not about graphics,  I mean it's not like it could ever render the same high quality graphics that the PC/PS3/360 can render but then again it was never meant to, clearly Nintendo's philosophy is gameplay over graphics.

Lair Wii version, with Wii remote motion sensor?
I think that will prove that Wii remote is much much much better than Sixaxis

It wasn't the controller that was an issue; it was just the way it was implemented in the game. Just take a look at Warhawk and how well the motion controls work on it, the same thing applies for the wii games, there are those that make perfect use and there are others which are atrocious.

Of course it wouldn't match the PS3 or anything, but at least it would stop all those "everything on the Wii could've been done on PS2" posts :)

Wait how do you see it as them having learned a lesson?  All that was stated was that they were making a new Wii title not utilizing RS tech.  The problem with Lair wasn't that it was on the PS3 or that it felt like RS using dragons instead of spaceships.  The problem were the framerate and tearing issues and horrible motion controls forced on the user.  Like twesterm stated they never really accepted fault for Lair's shortcomings so there really is no reason to assume they have learned their lesson till their next game comes out and it is actually good.

They deserve second chance. I am pretty sure they were pushed to release the game. Controls are usually the last thing to fine tune to the game and I think we all collectively agree that is the biggest issue for Lair.

I'm not saying they don't deserve a second chance. Hey if this game comes out and is a return to form for them then well done and I may buy it. I just don't want to get burned on hype like ppl waiting on Lair did.

That's nice. Will they actually test their games though?

lol that was awesome ^

After Lair's shitty performance im sure Sony wasnt too happy with Factor 5 lol

What if that was on purpose? What if everything was a plan they had together with Nintendo? Would be fun ;p

After playing Lair and seeing how much of a peice of shit it was, I wouldnt doubt if that was true.

How can a game get so much hype and be shitty as anything ive played.  Hmm... :)

I am WEEzY. You can suck my Nintendo loving BALLS!

imagine a Rogue Squadron game where you can play online, with voice chat, and play campaign missions, so now you can really communicate with your rogue squadron. Or to play in a mission where some are playing the empire and others the rebels, but imo this will only work with voice chat, not stupid line predefined commands

Imagine Lair but with worse graphics.

Give these guys a break, they deserve it. Lair may have been bad and Rogue Squadron 3 was a bust but they know they can't repeat the same mistakes so I'm sure this time they will hire a better staff to design the game play this time around. I have no doubt that they will bring something incredible to the table.

Also, it should be quite obvious that they didn't start programming the Wii game just today.  Most likely they've been working on it since Lair's completion or possibly even before Lair was done.  They are only just announcing their Wii intentions to get some notice from investors.

Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.

I think Factor 5 are great engineers that can push a console to the limits, look at Rouge Leader 2 a launch title. But what they lack is creating gameplay, But if they team up with Nintendo, and get support with the gameplay aspect its a massive win.
