Forums - Gaming - Could the Wii U hurt 3DS sales?

From my understanding the Wii U is basically a handheld and console at the same time. The only difference is it has much better graphics over the 3DS.

Now my knowledge of the Wii U is limited so please enlightened me if I wrong. Because if I'm right wouldn't this hurt the 3DS sales, it's like having a second handheld console?

Probably not. If anything, Wii U will only make 3DS look better by comparison.

I think it could. But that is only because a lot of people use their portable devices in non-portable environments, ie their homes. Obviously it comes down to the games as the most important factor imo, but this is technically a device that people may be able to use in their bedroom.

Was I right or was I right? BOOM.

Yes, spot on.

NSMB2 + Paper Mario + Luigi's Mansion 2 > entire Wii U lineup.

Easily. Well, I hated what they showed of NSMB2. But I'm getting a 3DS for the other two.

I am only concerned about the premise of NSMB2. Such a coins overload leads to a flood of extra lives, making a life system basically pointless. Not that lives would ever matter to me, but now they don't for anyone anymore.

I totally didn't get it. Unless you are the type to always die on the first goomba, you will basically win the game eventually it seems.
