To whoever is disappointed about a bunch of E3 falsities not coming to fruition, it's their fault for falling for rumours and lies on the internet in the first place.

yeh i dunno why there was so much hype for this year TBH. next year will be the exciting year.. but even then the Xbox3 and Playstation4 will have already been announced by E3 if they are releasing in 2013 and we will know almost all the release games..

So far the only things of note (For me) this year were the things I already knew I was going to love:

Halo 4 (This one was always going to win e3 for me)
The Last of Us
God of War: Ascension
Forza: Horizon
Gears of War: Judgement
Tomb Raider
Resident Evil 6
Medal of Honor: Warfighter
Crysis 3
Splinter Cell: Blacklist (new)
Dead Space 3

No price-cuts (Not that suprising though, Sony is selling well and needs the money, Microsoft is keeping up enough and wants to offset R&D)

No Mirror's Edge 2 or Beyond Good & Evil 2 were the biggest dissapointments for me.

Those aren't megatons though.  They showed a new IP which was great for them, but everybody was expecting everything you mentioned with the exception of Beyond two souls


So a Megaton in the definition of the OP is a game that would be mega popular and that wasnt announced? ok nvm.


dont get me wrong, they are huge games for the Playstation brand, but without the surprise factor it leave's one feeling disappointed.  If noone knew that God of War was coming then they showed off the demo that they did people would be talking about how awesome Sony's conference was.

A megaton fits into the category of unexpected, unannounced, and is a game changer.  Nothing seen at E3 really fit that.  Game that got the most attention is likely Watch Dogs, which is likely not an exclusive.  It does push the envelop.  Any other game announcements were things  that make you happy to own a console of choice.

I am perplexed why anyone would consider Sony's answer to Super Smash Bros. to be a Megaton.
