LOL no what if i don't have a smartphone, or a tablet... you get the point.

in today's market?    ...probably means you're too broke ass poor to own a console.  who's phone isn't on IOs, android, or window mobile now-a-days?!?

Can you please link a photo to your new smartphone or tablet. I am shocked! guess you are the first person whom has actual buttons on such device.

just saying try not to claim something is irrelevant by comparing it to another device that simply can't duplicate 100% what the wiiu gamepad does. Hence the smart comment I made about the picture. By the way who are you to talk shit about anyone's financial hardships?

Absolutely stole their thunder - well, not exactly stole, as they have been working on tables probably longer than Nintendo has. (Slate PC)

And in the general public it become more unclear - why buy a WiiU when I can get an Xbox 360, use my current larger Ipad/Droid/Windows 8 tablet, and I get Voice search, Kinect Play, and all the streaming options.

By going multiplat they made it open to everyone. Very strategic decision.

We shall have to see how the Xbox Glass gets used. That could take much extra programing - but I would love to have a table or PC out with a nice big map view as I play through Halo4 with my friends.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

Yeah micro definitely stole nintendos thunder. I mean can you believe that smart glass can control netflix and stuff? thats gotta be some pretty smart glass, howd microsoft make that glass so smart? do you think microsoft can make our glass smart enough to play black ops 2 and other games? i cant wait until microsoft figures that one out, they wont even need to ever release another console, the glass will just keep getting smarter and smarter. absolutely stole their thunder, absolutely, you hit the nail on the head. i bet iwata and reggie are peeing in their pants now!

Yeah, just like six-axis made Wii irrelevant.

In both cases the Wii U tablet / Smart Glass are fairly irrelevant unless you are playing multi-player games where hiding your strategy is important. They might spur a few new improvements to games, but nothing earth shattering...

I like the MS approach more... I don't need another gaming peripheral at home. Let me pick up my smart phone or a tablet to accomplish much the same thing... It may not be everything that Wii U is, but it does the major things I would kind of, sort of, but really don't care about...

Let's really think about this here, everyone. So the WiiU has a tablet style controller which offers a touch screen and buttons BUT... How many times will you be using both? Aside from maybe Madden where you can probably select your play on the touch screen then use the buttons to execute the play..you will not be using the buttons/touch screen and your tv at the same time. All the 360 is doing is allowing you to connect your phone/tablet and use as a controller along side your actual 360 controller. A 7 year old console can achieve essentially the same feel that a new console is offering.

No, not at all.

e=mc^2

Gaming on: PS4 Pro, Switch, SNES Mini, Wii U, PC (i5-7400, GTX 1060)

I'm sure you would know, because you've played both the Wii U and the smart glass extensively, right? Oh wait, neither has come out yet, and you seem clueless as to what the wii u tablet is capable of.

A MS fan trying to deny the the possibilities of Wii U gamepad? Surprising.

The Wii U gamepad has alot of things it can add to genres besides multi-player games. You may want to deny itor not see it  , but that's how it is.

No...the way the world works is like this:

Xbox360 fans will claim microsoft have made the wii u irrelevant, and nintendo fans will argue that they haven't.

Personally I see this move by ms as something of an attempt at a pre-emptive strike against nintendo, which points out who the real winner will be.
