What is a geolocation sensor and how does it differ from gps?  I just smoked a bit so forgive me if I'm being daft and this is common knowledge.

I honestly don't have the quote on hand. I think it was in the Nintendo Directs pre-E3. Better to enjoy a joint tho.

^ It's taking way too long to get to the point that there's a big difference between looking back and forth between two screens and fumbling back and forth between two different controllers entirely. Kill a zombie, put down your 360 controller, pick up your tablet, start searching the body and managing your inventory. Another zombie attacks, put down the tablet, pick up your 360 controller, kill the zombie...

Just no.

YES. That's why they are at the arcade and not at your house. Fun in sort bursts, and it backs up the fact that it's non-conducive to long term playing which is what I've been arguing, therefore it's a gimmick. Look at Tony Hawk's Shred for proof of that. It got horrible reviews, but it is near identical to a few skatboarding games that I've been at my local D&B and people love it there, since it is conducive to that atmosphere of short burst gratification (lol).

So stop chasing ghosts, this is not that difficult Ms. Sassy Pants.

@bold. And therefore you fail. Do you call it a gimmick when you go to the arcades.... I hope not.

hmm i'll have to agree with strategyking

By that definition, movies are gimmicks, and so is cotton candy.

So are all video game consoles, since they are devices intended to attract business.

As was Iron Man, and Mary Poppins. All gimmicks I tell you.

Worst of all is Sound of Music... for shame.

and who cares?? i stand by the fact that a gun in terminator 3d at the arcade is a gimmick.... the wiimote was a gimmick.... heck the kinect is one and i love it.... i have used that gimmick more the past 6 month than theactual xb pad... to have everybody on par move is a damn gimmick.... doesn't make it a bad idea...

That's what nintendo said about it:

“With Wii, when we brought out motion controls and introduced that as a new idea in gaming, initially there were people who didn’t understand it. Three years later, our competitors both came out with their own motion control systems.”

“We announced second screen gaming last year, and it’s somewhat flattering that it only took people a year this time around.”

“Smart Glass just doesn’t look like a peripheral for a games system. Microsoft may have used TV shows and IMDB to showcase Smart Glass, but as far as games go, gamers trying to incorporate Smart Glass into play sessions may find themselves limited by their number of hands.”

“I’m not sure how, as a gamer, I would manipulate a second screen with most hands on my controller. We don’t have three hands, unfortunately.”
