Okay dude, you're out of whack. First of all, ZombiU =/= Red Steel. Did you watch both videos?? A great amount of effort was put into making the survival horror more immersive. The "gimmicks" you mention are not gimmicks, they have a dedicated purpose, to increase immersion in a genre that desperately requires it (survival horror). What you see as a gimmick, real gamers (sorry you deserve it) see it as a real added value to a game. See this article from Kotaku: Even if Zombie games are ten a penny, good ones are rare as diamonds. |
A positive preview does not mean that it's a good game. As we all know how neverdead and dead island turned out... Bad to average.
I think it is indisputable that while they have a dedicated purpose, they can indeed be done on a regular controller, albeit in-game. Yes it's cool. Is it $350 cool though? I'm leaning towards no. It adds things that are unnessesary to something that already works, so to speak. So yes, it does seem to be a gimmick.
And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.
