Wait...you got PS+ despite not liking digital games?

I hate the move towards more and more digital download instead of retail boxed titles yes, but for some games I simply have no choice (Crysis on PS3) and for smaller games digital download is simply the best distribution method and I have nothing against it (such as old coin-op Arcades, Amy, Journey, Dungeon Hunter, Pac-Man & Galaga Legions, which I all have bought on PSN).

And the 3 month PS+ subcription I had was on a discount. PS+ is worth it either if you really are crazy about downloadable titles or if you can accept to download full sized games.

Oh ok its just that the merit of the system is a bit too awkward for something that needs to be commercially vaible.
I hear you. I agree in a sense. I think its a great system that a creative director could do wonders with, but i also still think its worth its pricetag.

Using Gaika for game trials and demos would be great.
With instant access to try out games for an hour and the recent psn+ discounts on full game downloads it is going to be very tempting to get psn+.

That is not going to happen. It has all been value added to date and they are not a market leader for online connectivity and its stupid to charge for online connectivity. People only pay for XBox Live because they don't have a choice (outside of using PS3 instead).

I hope they keep PS+ similar to how it is now. It's a great service, they just need to find a way of convincing more people to sign up to it.

The gap between XBL and PSN grew rapidly over the past 18 months with all the Apps, the insane quality XBLA offers every a year and the voice controls.

Sony has to do something to get a little bit closer. Gaikai seems to be likely, but I doubt that this is where I want to see the industry heading. No discs is not a vision I love to share.

Cloud Saves + Automatic Updates/Game Patches is why I have PSN+

The free games/discounted games are just a bonus.
