One annoying aspect of VGChartz is going into a forum and seeing nothin being discussed thats relevant to the forum. people just assume that if it even vaguely is related to the forum header it belongs their. It doesnt.  Right now spam(doom threads, elimination,vote threads) and mass off topicness is overpowering this site. I think better balancing the site is in order so that everybody can do what they want but in a more apropriate place. By limiting each forum to a specific task and making use of every forum we can have that balancement.

Gaming  Section

Composed of:

Gaming Forum - Place to discuss MultiPlatform titles/General game news/general discussion about Video Games.

Nintendo Forums - Place to discuss all NIntendo games/News/Hardware/and general discussion about all things Nintendo

SONY Forums get changed to PlayStation Forums - PS games/news/hardware/.

* This forum is dedicated to all things PS. Not TV, Music,movie business. PS Brand only.*

MS gets changed to XBOX forums - Games/news/Hardware/

* dedicated to XBOX brand not windows, lawsuts, other business stuff*

PC - games/news/hardware

Elimination of: MMO, Online and game specific - we dont need them and there was never a fanbase for them here as they are kinda pointless.

Sales section

Sales Forums- Will be used for all HW and SW numbers talk and other business stuff( SONY TV, Windows, Doom).

off topic

condense off topic to one forum - movies,music,politics,life and forum games go here

As you can see each forum has its role. When everybody gets a used to the revamped set up and we are strict about making sure threads are relevant to the forum we can have cleaner site

Makes no difference to me. I just hang around the off topics anyways.

Hmm, tbh the only thing I find warranted is creating a extra "off topic" section for all the elimation threads etc that shouldn't really go in general discussion. (Off topic should also NOT show up on the homepage)

Game specific boards can also go IMO.

Microsoft, Sony & Nintendo sections need "subforums" ie: Xbox, Playstation &... Nintendo :P

General sales discussion can just go in general discussion with vgc, media create etc sticking to "sales charts".

With the truth coming to light, I feel like a giant weight has been lifted off of my shoulders! Thank you, you have freed me. 

I don't think splitting the forum into more sections is going to help anything.

My proposition, get rid of a few Forums and add only one new section and call it Chain threads (that's all the person above you, below, random spamming threads in one place).
