What does the PSP have to do with this? 360 will surpass it easily. So will PS3. So that's a bad example. So what do we have here? PSP and Gameboy Advance already disprove your "rule". It's not a fact if it's not lol

The only reason I mentioned the PSP is because it sold so much. It is a second place handheld so it is not an exception to the rule. Read the bold statement I made. It is a fact.

Well you changed your original "fact"

And he needs to change his "fact" again because the Wii beat the PSP and both the SNES and Sega Genisis outsold Sega's GameGear Handheld.

Nope. I stand by my original statement.

"All leading handheld devices have outsold the leading console in their generation. The only exception is the PS2 which sold almost double what the Gameboy Advance did."

Game Gear was not a leading handheld device. Neither was the PSP.

Seriously? Your ORIGINAL statement was "Handhelds always sell more than consoles. That is a fact." Which you then had to change because you were proven horribly wrong. I'm not arguing with your other statements, I'm arguing that you seem to think the first statement and what you changed it to after are the same...they're not.

These MS kids get real whiny at times huh.....sadness

Was PS3 adjusted down yet?

At this rate PS3 will have negative no. of PS3's on shelves.

And the 360....well since it's got banned, it probably wouldn't matter. It will probably have negative sales or something.

So why hasn't PS3 been adjusted yet?

Because like someone else said pretty soon there will be negative amounts of PS3 units on shelves according to Vgchartz numbers. The console was at some point clearly overtracked, or 360 was undertracked. Official shipments confirm this.

Peeps pretending PS3 did amazing despite only being 7k ahead of the 3DS and the gap between the PS3 and 360 is lower than last week lol, you know who you are.

whatever..... its overtracked.

you sound desperate... :P

dominaton!!... just over 40% market share for the week (not domination - 50% plus is domination) and dead last in the home console race (very far from domination).  Do not confuse having a lead of with domination.

keep up the good work though.

But it's likely to only be on top for a week or two before the 3DS retakes it, and it's still down YoY by quite a large number. It's like the least pathetic really, so it's not much to celebrate.

And the PS3 is overtracked. As people have said, before long they'll be more sold PS3's than shipped, which is impossible. Ergo, it's likely between 400-800k overtracked.

It's interesting that some people still try to argue that PS3 is not overtracked, taking into account that there was no official mention of tight supply, unofficial deals hitting the fan - in UK and US.. After all, if you have little of something, why would you sell it for a lower price? Some people need to get in check with reality here. And fast.

Keep fighting the good fight people.....

Well, I'm talking about the one in bold. That is what I consider my "original statement".
When I said handheld always sell more than console, it was no more than quick vague comment that was't backed up by any facts.

The statement I bolded, is a lot more specific.

Yup, those are the usuals. Even though they do have a point.

Woh! There was a GoT Game coming out?!?!

Lol @ illogical arguments. Btw you are aware that Mantlepiece was quite an avid Sony supporter right? Beside that, even Prof himself admitted possibility of overtrack in other thread (which got his ass banned), it's not just that select group of people that you are trying to generalize, it's the general consensus from both sides, that PS3 is likely overtracked here.

But that's okay, shove your fingers into your ears and scream in denial.

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

Are you implying that anyone who says something unfavorable about the PS3 is a bad person?

there was, reviewers seem to think its pretty average for a normal game, so it'll be pretty good for movie/tv tie ins :)
