Should we all expect an empty conference of surprises? According to PSM3 magazine (UK), which states that Sony has reserved at least one "big surprise" that would not be the PlayStation 4. What could it be?"

I honestly think its PSVita related. There are rumors PS All stars are coming to Vita.

But if it was game related to the PS3, my guesses would be =
Quantic Dreams new game, Sony Santa Monicas new game, Guerilla Games new game, Killzone 4?, Gran Turismo 6?, The Last Guardian? or maybe Syphon Filter which was rumored in February.

Im thinking its the PS9 from years ago, or Final Fantasy Versus XIII

It's not a game. It'll be a fancy new peripheral for the system. They'll try to pad out the length of the PS3 lifespan another 2 years.

But will it be a tablet, or something else...

aren't they calling their conference "The future of gameplay & Innovation".

I think that they will make a bundle PS3+PSVITA.

That means a Mario Kart Copy, a Smash Bros. Copy, a new God of War and perhaps a Vita port of some of these games would be the only surprises Sony has for E3?

That is really poor.

I think the big surprise is that FFXIIIv will actually be released.

Seriously though, I've been a part of the VGChartz community for several years now. Every year before E3 there is a non-stop report of surprises expected by each of the big console companies. Every year these surprises turn out to be a disappointment. It's usually a disappointment because speculation tends to focus on dream like / unrealistic scenarios, making the actual announcement seem underwhelming in comparison.

I just want the big surprise to be related to RPGs in some way.
