Seriously, if that's not part of the decoration, Nintendo has lost their mind. There's being secretive and then there's being paranoid. |
EDIT: I guess that is Nintendo's booth but from the looks of it it is the back booth. (They have two.) And the back booth is usually where they have their "offices" and press only area and it is usually multiple levels. But also you cannot blame them 10 years ago n2000.com (changed to planetgamecube.com after the show) now know as nintendoworldreport.com walked in and took pictures of the booth and exposed the entire gamecube logo and pormotional items, etc a few days before the show.
You see the greenish booth to the left that is also obsured that is Sony's back booth. So both are not leaving anything to chance. As you can see they leave the back doors open so the fork lifts can go in and out easier. And it just makes it just as easy for press to walking right in.
I couldn't find an article that actually talked about it. Since planetN2000, planetgamecube and nintendoworldreport has went through many site redesigns. BUt I found an article that referred to the incident. (BTW this was the first E3 I went to.)

Excert for those who don't want to read through the article.
The cab I was in arrived at the hotel first, and we quickly got in line for media check-in. It was a short wait, but I do remember one cool thing that happened. This guy named Tim Mulligan from Golin/Harris (Nintendo of America’s PR firm) came up to us asking where Billy was. We told him that Billy was in another cab and on the way. Then he started congratulating us on the website, especially our exclusive snapshot of the official GameCube logo just days earlier. It was kind of weird for me...this guy from Nintendo actually approached us, not the other way around!
I'm sure them getting that photo made Nintendo rethink how it set up it's booths. Since they where/are natorious on trying to as much as possible from slipping out. The next year even the crates that contain the booth parts were no longer listed by company name just number ID.

If you can see them, they've already failed.

*Insert another Reggie Fils-Aime creeper face here*
The level of secrecy is truly remarkable. I can't believe not a single nugget of info other than the leaked controller photo has slipped by.
I for one keep searching google news almost ever half hour now waiting for some crumb of new info....nothing.

One can only hope that the reason we haven't heard anything isn't because they have nothing to show.
