"Never" is a ridiculous assertion. It certainly could run it like SNES could run Street Fighter II, Mortal Kombat II and NBA Jam. Who knows what they have planned, but running a version of it is not completely the same as running the arcade version.

How reliable is that site?
I'm a tekken player and much as I'd like to see it come on the affordable Wii, I'm with Hus on this one.
I don't think Wii can prodive enough power to run Tekken 6.
On top of that, its confirmed that the arcade boards that Tekken 6 will run on is utilizing Cell processors.(dumb move namco. pressure from Sony?) even if it may come for Wii it will be quite inferior compared to the arcade/PS3 versions.
What Id really like to see is it come out on the 360! c'mon namco do it, PS3 userbase isn't enough to cover costs!
crappy old school NES games are more entertaining than next-gen games.

And that's why people seem to "attack"you. It's UNLIKELY I'll give you that but don't ever say never.

That's a pretty silly thing to say. Fighters sort-of maxed out (in terms of power) with the PS2 - there have been very few real improvements since then, and very little extra power is required.
The Wii could EASILY handle Tekken 6 (its only 2/4 characters + background after all!). The real question (if its coming) is how the controls will work.
Was playing (my first) DragonBall Z last night on the Wii... and its interesting. Mixing buttons/motions in a fighter seems to make it much more complicated to me (to master anyway), but its pretty fun once you get the hang of it.

Wii classic controller would work fine with tekken.
Same as PS2, all you need is d-pad + 4 buttons.
However, Tekken6 is in developed on a Cell processed arcade board made by Sony and Ban-nam.
Porting this on Wii would require some degrading I would assume. Much like Arcade Tekken 5:DR -> PSP Tekken:DR.

Also, are we gonna use the classic controller for it on the Wii? At least it would be better than using hte Wiimote for a fighting game. I've been thinking about this for Guilty Gear too, I don't wanna play it with a Wiimote....

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!
Once agian. I hate to say it, but If I'm not mistaken Tekken6 is to be one of the first arcade games to run off the PS3 board. Now that means the game is truely optimized for next-gen. (almost all arcade games are based off PC style boards, or old PS2 style boards. If Tekken6 runs on a PS3 board, there is no way in hell they could port the game to the Wii. They would port the Tekken5 engine, and put the tekken6 game on that.
Ok thanks. The Wii cant run Tekken6, but it can run tekken6 with tekken5 graphics engine. (basically the wii version would be a totally new game)
EDIT: My wife loves Tekken, but I never really cared for it, However it would be a big hit agianst sony to loose it. However it wouldnt bother me in the least bit.

Tekken 6 is running on PS3 based arcade board, wii could NEVER run it.
