I'm gonna' agree with you and say below 1m, I honestly can't see it doing that well, since most people who have seen/heard about the game have had negative reactions, mainly along the lines of "lol it's a copy of SSB but worse! /sonyfail", which is very unfortunate...

I WOULD like to see it do big numbers, or atleast over 2m lifetime... if it could do over 1m over the Christmas holidays, then I'd have no doubt whatsoever that it'd go on to sell over 2m, especially if it were bundled, we could see Uncharted numbers. But as I've said, I really don't see it selling well otherwise.

However, if it DOES sell well, I can see Sony buying Superbot, since it'd be cool to have a new game like this for every console generation and handheld they release (Heck, I'd love to play something like this on my Xperia Play!), but that'd just get more backlash from gamers for copying SSB even further... (Despite SSB being a copy itself...)

Yes, take internet fanboy reactions as an indicator of the sales of a videogame, good idea.

Maybe I should have added a "so far" in there, lol. People may change their minds after seeing more of the game, and ofcourse I'll admit that I didn't take into account that Sony may actually market this (Let's face it, Sony are TERRIBLE when it comes to marketing to the masses) through tele adverts and such... I'm just going off what I know, and so far there's been a lot of negativity around it which could definity reflect on sales, there's no telling though, is there

This particular game draws more ire than usual because it resembles a game Nintendo makes, and so certain groups (mostly Nintendo fanboys and Sony haters) see it as an oppurtunity to perpetuate their childish idea of Sony always copying Nintendo. These people would never have bought the game anyway, so taking their reaction to the game as any indicator of sales is nonsensical.

You know I'm right , I just make too much damn sense

When you put it like that, it does start to make sense, the people hating on the game wouldn't have bought it in the first place, which means when predicting sales, I shouldn't have taken them into account... although I still don't think it'll sell too great unless Sony advertise it a lot. I'll wait until closer to release before I decide to adjust my prediction or not, I mean, with the right character announcements, the sales could explode... but until then I'll sit here patiently twiddling my thumbs, lol.

Spot on! It seems that the potential sales for this title could fluctuate massively depending on the character announcements, gameplay quality and how advertising is handled.

If Sony pulls a Starhawk advertising Less then 1 million.
Real advertising 1.5M-2M
Bundle 3M-4M

Former something....

Sony always heavily markets one or two games a year. Last year was Uncharted 3, and the year before that was GOW3 and GT5. Twisted Metal barely had any marketing, Sony hasn't done anything with Starhawk, Sly4 will most likely release silently, so I'm assuming that Sony's marketing muscle will go behind PASBR.

I disagree, the only exclusive Sony have actually made a good effort at marketing this gen is Uncharted 3. GoW3 had literally no advertisement here in the UK and I'd bet it's the same story across Europe (maybe it was better across the pond?), there was 1 TV advert and I only saw that once whereas UC3 had adverts that appeared so often they irritated me, GoW3 wasn't advertised at all on the side of buses or billboards etc., UC3 was literally EVERWHERE I went, there's not one arena in London where I didn't see an UC3 advertisement. Not to mention they hardly bundled GoW3 at all although that may have been due to the PS3 shortage at the time of its release. GT5 had a better marketing campaign than GoW3 but it was still crap compared to UC3's, GT5 was hardly bundled too like GoW3 although it was a little better but it was still miniscule compared to UC3. If Sony made the same effort they did with UC3 with GoW3 & GT5 they would've sold about 25% better, so about 5.6 million for GoW3 and 9.5 million for GT5. If only Sony didn't suck so bad at marketing their games.

I reckon Playstation All Stars Battle Royale will sell around 2.5 million with little bundling + poor advertisement, if Sony make an effort like they did with UC3 it will sell around 4 million. Although it also depends on the games quality, if it sucks it'll have poor word of mouth and sell a lot less. I don't think Sony will market PASBR well because Sony's main focus now is God of War: Ascension since that's by far the biggest PS3 exclusive left yet to release, the budget for that game must be around $60 million dollars and Sony will want to make sure it sells as much as possible, if that gets bundled + advertised like UC3 it could reach 6+ million unless PS4 comes along too soon and isn't b/c which would obviously cut its legs.

They need to put Nathan Drake, Kratos, Sackboy, Cole from Infamous, all on the cover art...

otherwise ppl won't know what the game is about or who's in it

This is the type of game that should be a PS4 launch title.... not a game that comes out near the end of the PS3s lifecycle.

Some of you guys predictions are just insane. I'm willing to bet this game doesn't do 2 mil. Any takers?

Hard to say. It will depend on reviews and marketing.

The boxart will be very important IMO. Put Nathan Drake, Kratos, Sackboy, Solid Snake, Ezio, etc on the cover and it should do pretty good off that alone

1.5 million. I don't think it will sell that much. People are over-estimating.
