Forums - Gaming - Former Xbox boss: “Sony did some really not so smart things”

I think they both benefited from each others mistakes. RROD still seemed to be really bad for Xbox even a couple of years ago.

But both Sony's price and the Xbox 360 heat problems have been fixed, and they both are doing well. I think they have so much in common the differences are fairly trivial. If there was a major difference then people would just agree - like nobody argues that the Wii's graphics aren't as good because it's a simple fact.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

All I can say is that Sony were lucky that the 360 got a bad rep for the RRoD.

Thats Microsoft own fault for rushing to release the 360 ahead of its competitors.

It can be spun as a necessary evil to get the needed head start and fix RROD down the road.

Which I would like to point out, it worked.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

In the end, its great for gaming. Last gen there was no competition. Sure if you had a PS2 you had no problem but the Gamecube and XBox had the life choked out of them prematurely.

This gen things all seem evened out, which is why this is the best gen IMO.
