Forums - PC - MLG and KeSPA announce multi-year, exclusive StarCraft partnership

Major League Gaming and the Korean eSports Association have announced an exclusive multi-year global partnership which will merge the western and Korean StarCraft competitions. As part of the collaboration, KeSPA players will compete in US MLG events for the first time in eSports history. The partnership kicks off during the MLG Spring Championship in Anaheim, CA on June 9 where KeSPA Pro players will compete in a StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty tournament. Participants from the top KeSPA teams will be selected and are to be announced in the coming weeks. The exposition match and the entire Spring Championship will be broadcast live online via MLG. The Spring Championship runs June 8-10. Thanks, Talkar.

Sweet. Look forward to seeing some of the Koreans playing in western tournaments :)

Not sure I like the exclusivity, but if it was the only way to get KESPA pro players outside of South Korea then OK.

We will likely see Flash, Jaedong, Bisu etc. at this upcoming MLG event.

Sad that they had to kill Brood War to do this. It was a much better balanced game than SC2.
