Forums - General - Malcolm in the middle boxset

Think of something super big? OK, got it? Double it… This is how big this news is.

In short, Season 1 of Malcolm in the Middle will be released on DVD in the UK (Region 2) in April 2012. Followed by a season a month until a final box-set near Christmas 2012. Yes, all seasons by the end of the year!

It’s being released by Fabulous Films in the UK. They have bought the UK (Region 2) rights for the whole series from FOX and specialize in releasing TV/movies that have had music issues in the past. The UK has a distinct advantage over the US as they don’t have such complicated music licensing issues. Yes, the reason we haven’t seen seasons in the US is all about music license costs, as we have always known.

Possibly one of my favourite series of all time, finally releasing on DVD, only season 1 was ever released, which bombed, so no more came after, the fact that it's now finally coming out and a final boxset will be available by the end of 2012 makes me happy inside!

Anyone else actually watched Malcolm live through his terribad life?

Yes finally !

I used to like Malcolm in the Middle. I will probably get these eventually when the price drops a little. Good news.

Unfortunately they've failed the deadlines, as it was meant to be released in April, it has now been postponed to June, that article was published in February. Can't wait for the final boxset though, definitely buying, not only to support but enjoy the awesomeness that this series was.

Was a great show! One of my favs growing up. I still think of Bryan Cranston as Hal when I'm watching Breaking Bad.

Uh... why do so many people like this show. It is horrible in my opinion.

You do? He's completely morphed into Heisenberg/Walter for me

Same here. I can't see any part of Hal in his performance of Walter White. Bryan Cranston just completely owns any role he's in. Neither Malcolm in the Middle nor Breaking Bad would have been as good as they were without him.

I guess you're too young :p, many of the people have had similar childhood experiences and can relate to that, also the innuendos, humour and just general comedy gold has a mass family appeal (I know I watched it with my parents), probably the only show other than Friends that actually did that for me, not like I can watch Game of Thrones with them, they'll just think I am a massive pervert.
