Obama, just because somebody needs to stand in the way of the nuts in the House and their "cut everything but the military" attitude.

No great fan of Obama personally, but its a sad case of Democrats being categorically better than the alternative.

Why doesn't the Dem controlled Senate propose a budget (you know, like they're supposed to) that actually cuts stuff that the Dems would want to cut? You know, like some forms of military spending?

Oh, yeah, that's why: because, despite all their rhetoric, Dems like military spending as much as the GOP.

Why don't they just raise revenue and raise tax's on  the people who don't pay tax's.   Then we don't have to cut.

A) Because the only people who don't pay taxes are the  unemployed.

B) Because higher government spending is highly inefficent since the higher your precentage of government spending and employees, the higher the taxes needed from the wealth creating parts of the economy.

Vote out incumbent governments. It is time to vote Obama out of government. Besides increasing the deficit from $5 trillion to $15 trillion in under four years. Obama has not done much to fix the American economy.
The majority of elections conducted since the 2007/08 global financial meltdown has resulted in the incumbent government being voted out. Now is time to boot out Obama and give Romney a go.

Wow your math is a joke. Dude obama is put maybe 5 Trillion on the books and that is because bush cut taxs rather then paying for the wars. So the extra spending is really still paying for bush's f' ups. I'm no fan of OBAMA but you should just not vote. Romney wants to do bush's policies on steroids and cut another 5 trillion off mega millionairs tax's. Raise middle class tax's and cut all social programs, EPA, stuff like clean drinking water or good food. Cool !!! this article just reminded me how stupid voters are.

For the record, most of the debt wasn't caused by the Bush tax cuts, but by spending. Tax income as a percentage of GDP is indeed lower than average - at about 15.5% (with the historical average being about 18%), but spending under Obama is at 24-26% per year, which is well above the 18-19% average. So although tax cuts are part of the problem, they are a fraction of the issue.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

You know what's funny? In Europe Obama would be considered right wing but in the US the right wing think he's a socialist lol.

Yup! Makes our moderates look like socialists. No wonder that some people sees us as dirty commies.

I'd prefer Obama. But it doesn't matter eitherway, Obama has done well at cleaning up after Bush. Romney can only continue that.

Besides it would be good for Romney to get power, then you'd have a black president followed by a LDS one. In 2016, a woman yes? Come on USA citizen's show you are the most culturally diverse nation out there. Land of the Free etc.

Hmm, pie.

Yeah. I'd like to see Francois Hollande (who is pledging to work with Merkel on keeping the Eurozone together, btw) come over here. The ensuing heart-attacks would clean out a good few right-wingers.

Eh, it's worth noting that Hollande is actually too left for Europe, and it's the first left wing candidate to be elected in forever... since Sarkozy was roughly as popular as Bush.  The main motivator behind voting was "I do not like Sarkozy."   Honestly, that probably wasn't even the main motivator in any us election.

Also... there are a few things he's promised to do that Rightwing people would quite like.

For example, cutting the salaries of the president and their "congress" by 30%.

and

Lowering the Gas tax so it "floats" based on price.

Hollande wasn't so much pursueing a pure leftist agenda to get elected so much as a "Populist" agenda of promise the people ice cream for dinner.

Come July he'll be backing off promises left and right and likely won't look much different then a Sarko presidency.

(Edit: July because there are parlimentry elections in June.)

Wow, you are very misinformed. The national debt at the end of the Bush Presidency was about 10 trillion. Also, if you actually look at what has caused the debt in these past 4 years it has mainly been the Bush tax cuts and the wars, along with the effects from the recession. Almost all of the debt has been caused by Republican policies that the Republicans have refused to let go. If you really want a 3rd term for George W Bush, then vote for Romney.

Tax cuts and spending are basically the same thing. Both raise the defecit. Also, you need to spend to get out of a recession, and then you cut once the economy is better.

No, you don't. Read up on the recession of 1921. The initial decrease was much larger than that of 1929's. The Government cut spending and taxes, and the economy was growing again by 1922. Look at every recession since, where the response has been more spending... and look at how long they last.

Europe has done what you're recommending, and look what's happened to them. Austerity doesn't work.
