I miss white and blue VGChartz! It was a time of wild predictions, crazy users, threads about video games weren't outnumbered by the others, it was also the era of TalonMan where bugs would actually get fixed and new features appeared out of nowhere (VGC Money, VGC Instant Messenger!). We also had tons of graph options that made arguing about sales much more practical.

I guess this was back in '07-'08? Do you think we'll see some wild predictions around here when the WiiU launches, or when the PS720 hits the stores?

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

I was only a lurker during that period (or probably slightly after), and I remember that there were a lot more members and arguments and most importantly, people talked about games. I liked it like that.

I sure hope so! Arguing with delusional people is fun!

Yeah, I hope so too :) But you know, in '07 the Wii and PS3 had just launched and noone knew how they were going to do and that's where all the crazy predictions came from I guess. We should see something similar in about 8 months or so :P or at the very least in early '14...

But don't you think that has to do with the fact that the current generation was new then? I think we'll see something similar in early '14 :)

It is interesting that I see a lot of gaming threads here, but they usually get skipped over by even the vets on this site. Zarx and XXain put out 3-5 threads a day on games it seems, yet no one posts. There is always something wrong and it is never anyone else's fault. I see the same discussions on Gaf and other forums and they can become just as childish. Just a bunch of excuses because a few got their feelings hurt. So they left.

So, what you're saying is that we don't talk enough about games here? I see a few, but most of 'em just don't interest me and that's why I skip them... was it any different before?

I liked the 2010 VGC - everyone's names had the consoles they owned under them, so you knew if they were fighting on your side in the console war

Well the thing about before was there were more Nintendo games coming out. We still have this happen ever so often here. Mario Tennis Open, Resident Evil Revelations, Zelda Skyward Sword, The Last Story, Xenoblade, etc.

I have not idea why more Microsoft and Sony fans do not talk about games, but the Nintendo gamers seem to. We know what we like. Even Kid Icarus had 2-3 threads on it. People just complain to complain. I do it as well!

Hehe yeah, I saw that Xenoblade thread... It's gotten BIG :D
