From what I understand, yes. Which makes a grand total of zero sense why someone would buy it in a retail place.


It would make for a good gift. Also, many people don't like, or don't have, credit cards or a paypal account to use with Steam purchases so this would be a good way for them to use the service.

It had already been rumored, but today GameStop announced it will begin selling Steam Wallet codes in its U.S. stores nationwide today. The codes are available in $20 and $50.
