I read this and athought, why not. So I left a comment for Mario 64. I thought maybe since I contributed to the site I'd get more money in my account. Alas, no increase.

If you want people to comment in the games section give them some incentive too. Furthermore, I spent about an hour last night adding games to my "I own" section and didn't get any extra money.

I think both of these need some sort of VG$ added to them as an incentive.

It's amazing how quickly V$ went from "oh this is a novel concept" to "I want my money!"

How about this for your reward. If you comment on games, you increase the chance that someone else will respond to your comment. Isn't that fun?

Well usually my own ideas are not even responded to at this point, so while I do try to help out with problems it doesn't seem to lead anywhere. If people want free help or advice they should at least respond to it.

And I don't care about vg money thankfully.

Dude you just asked why people don't comment on games. I was just telling you. No need to be sarcastic.

Besides, the minute the VG$ was announced my first thought (And likely many others) was "I want my money". The whole purpose of the VG$ as stated by ioi was to reward people for aiding to the site. Adding comments to games is helping the game database and therefore improving the site. Therefore by definition doing so should add to you VG$ total.

EDIT: In addition, users recieve money for making forum posts wich often times only add to the flame wars or get them started. At least if you gave us VG$ for comments to games it would do more to make posative improvements.

But I do agree with rasone, people should get some money for editing and giving comment to games. I know that those $VGchartz aren't important, but it's just a fun feature. Because people like numbers. :)

I've been commenting a good bit stof. Although 95% of those game are PS3/360 .... So what.
