| SecondWar said: What age would you want to be when you moved? Looking at your profile you're several years off at the earliest. You also need to have a plan of how you are going to support yourself as moving between countries is a lot different than moving between cities in the same country. Personally don't think the New England area would be a bad part of America to move to. Bonus of having two football (soccer) teams relatively close by, although don't know how important that would be to you. Then you have to put up with TV stereotypes. Apparently Canada sucks, although I've never got that impression when I've been there. But then on TV all 'British' people have crooked teeth and resemble aristocrats and have these bizarre accents. Never heard anyone who is actually from the UK talk like that in my entire life. |
The guy in the profile picture is me btw and I'd probably put these stereotypes to rest.
Yes Pie! :) That's the view from the top of the Mount Royal. Beautiful view. (Indeed)
Here is Saint-Catherine's street, Montreal's most busy street, during the most busy period: the big sidewalk sale:

NinPie lol never said the US was a crap hole full of immigrants. I said America is getting to the point where Americans are fleeing to Canada. Recently their was a group protesting here in my city that Americans are stealing our jobs lol.
Since I am also beginning to look where to move this is an interesting topic. I love my home city and province. But the jobs simply are not here and I have a very bleed future if I remain. The entertainment industry is moving east.
My big concerns with Montréal specifically is the lack of Christians. Finding a church will be very difficult the Conservatives aren't exactly loved either. Then theirs my absolute lack of french. On the plus side the multicultural values of Montréal actually exceed Vancouver. I love what I have seen and heard.
But scared because I have never been east lol

It made me think you were speaking of it that way! XD Sorry.

why do you want to leave the UK anyway? (this post was somewhat edited to avoid mod action)
