Yea, I wouldn't recommend going to a local store unless they're really cheap.

I bought two six foot HDMI cables from newegg.com for about $10 each.

what would you guys recommend?
im looking for a 20 foot hdmi cable.

i went to monoprice but it was confusing
some was 1.3a some had random letters
i didnt know which one to chose.

i plan on taking it off and on from my laptop a lot of times.

thanks for any input

I bought my Sony HDMI cable from BestBuy Auction site (customer returned product). I know Sony's HDMI cables all support HDMI 1.3

Regarding the HDMI spec, this is what I found: http://www.bluejeanscable.com/articles/hdmi-spec-versions.htm

You can also check on Wikipedia for HDMI spec. I hope that will help.

I don't know if the spec of the cable will make any difference on your AV setup, but if you could find a cable that supports HDMI 1.3 at the similar price, what not go for it? I know PS3 supports HDMI 1.3.

yeah i already found my cable. thanks to lazybum's help
its gonna set me back around 50 bucks (includes S&H).
its a 25ft , 1.3a, category 2 hdmi cable.
prolly gonna buy it later tonight.
i was hoping to only spend 30 dollars but it cant be helped.
