I cant seem to find any that scare me. any help would be great.

I love them when they scare me. I am also seemingly desensitized to them though.

The Eye that you posted was great, especially on the elevator when the old dude floats, horribly scary man, I hear they are remaking it, which will be worse I think.

Im a fan of the Saw series (although I fear it may be going downhill). I love the Hannibal trilogy (excluding Young Hannibal). I seemed to like Wolf Creek despite its Americanize feel. (All American Horror to me is roughly the same. Kids get lost, car breaks down, someone tries to help or they wander off, get killed somehow). Japanese Horror is pretty good. Audition is fairly good (Has subtitles and most of the movie is just leading up to the end though). All old horror movies do not impress me. What used to be scary is not to me (ex. Psycho, Rosemary's Baby, etc). As far as Dark movies go (That is, not horror movies, but movies with dark plots) I like the new Sweeney Todd (Musical though) and Pan's Labyrinth. I have heard 1408 and The Mist are good (Two King short's converted to films)

I too would love horror movie recommendations.

someone once told me the most horrifying films are asian. particualarly Hongkong.

Well, despite what you may think, you have probably already seen or heard of many popular Japanese Horror. However, you have probably seen the American versions. Dark Water, The Grudge series, The Ring series, One Missed Call, etc.

Here is my list of decent Asian Horror in no paticular order:
-Audition (As mentioned above)
-Battle Royale (Good book too)
-The Eye
-Pulse
-Films by Miike (ex. Imprint was alright)

You really need to have a weird sense to like these films. You need to realize that if you dont speak or understand Japanese, part of the thrill will be lost because you are reading subs. Even still, these movies are mostly just average to me. I still cant find a good supply of horror movies that engage me as much as I want them to.

I found Ringu (the japanese version of "the ring") to be very scary .. well, not during watching the film , but after that it hit me hard when I tried to sleep ;)

I'm a fan of the Saw series aswell , but I don't think it's scary , but rather funny.

Ive loved horror movies since i was a kid. The feeling of watching stuff like Halloween or Nightmare on Elm st for the 1st time was amazing, back in vhs time. Today nothing really scares me. The last thing that creeped me out was Ju-On that was later remaked as The Grudge with Sarah Michelle Gellar. The remake sucks but the original... wow!
Also, some retro horror, i would recomend The changeling, with george c. scott. It's a psicological terror, very well done.
