Is this the first racing game to have such a feature!?

Looks awesome, and I think it just might be.

Not a bad extra feature I guess, doesn't light my world on fire though.

I get annoyed enough in Mario Kart when I get slammed by other items. It's going to be even more frustrating if there's a sort of score and streak attached to it.

Modnation had a lot of skill required in the driving and chances are if you suck at the game you will come last, this hit streak thing might only extend the skill gap between good and bad players. Might be very anti-casual for what should be a casual racer. Personally I'm all up for it but don't expect to get any MK fans playing this if a lot of skill is required.

More than skill i found items really powerful. making you able to reach first place very easily.

I think Sony made a mistake to only make a Little Big Planet Karting. Making a sony all stars racing game would be a better idea. I mean we only have one charakter in this game ( the sackboy). And even if you costumise your Sackboy it will not chance the fact that its only another Sackboy. I mean one of the reasons that Mario Kart and Sonic All Stars Racing are so good are the charackters.
And for some reason i care more for Sonic All Stars Racing 2. Maybe a buy Little Big Plante Karting for my PS3 and Sonic All Stars for my vita ( gald i own a vita) if i only had a ps3 i would rather pass one of this games.

Completely agree Sony should make PlayStation All-Stars the brand to compete with the Mario brand, PlayStation All-Stars Party, PlayStation All-Stars Kart etc

I think they are waiting to see how Battle Royale does first.
