Forums - Gaming - Skyrim Kinect support arrives tomorrow. So does a DLC announcement.

EL33TONLINE

Earlier this month, Bethesda announced that Kinect voice-command support would be added to the Xbox 360 version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, allowing gamers to not only initiate the all-important Dragon Shouts by, well, shouting the ancient language out themselves, but this functionality would also help us navigate menus and control AI helpers, using nothing but our own voices.

‘Quick Save’ and ‘Quick Load’ commands are on the way, too.

This functionality arrives tomorrow, but so does the very first news of Skyrim’s long-awaited downloadable add-on content. The official Elder Scrolls Twitter account posted today, April 30th:

“Be on the lookout for the first DLC info tomorrow”

This was followed up by a tweet by Bethesda’s Pete Hines, who said:

who said

“A tidbit of info. Not a complete dload of info. Managing expectations.”

It’s OK Mr. Hines. Any info will do.

So the question becomes, is any one event in the world of Skyrim more important to you? Are you more looking forward to Kinect support in the game, or are you desperately scrounging around for the first drops of information on Skyrim’s upcoming add-on content?

We’ll get our first details on the DLC soon, but in the meantime, you can practice your Dragon Shouts:

Fus. Roh. Dah!

You can also look over a .pdf file containing all of the voice commands you’ll be able to use while playing Skyrim with Kinect -  here’s a link  to the file.
