I was talking more from the perspective of a fan, rather than pure numbers.

I mean, I'm sure they will get it over there, but you'd think that 30 years and billions of dollars later they should be able localize a Fire Emblem title for the biggest market in the world fairly quickly don't you?

*This goes for a ton of companies.

You were the reason I made this thread:

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

@HappyD I don't think Nintendo'll let you download Wii Games on the eShop for the Wii U. On the Wii you couldn't buy GameCube games so they might be doing something where they don't want you to get last generations games over Download. That is what I'm thinking.

There's a reason, though, that they didn't put Gamecube games on the Wii VC:  Wii only had 512mb of storage, so many individual Gamecube games couldn't even fit on it.  True, they could have asked gamers to use memory sticks, but that would have added a layer of confusion, which would stunt sales to a level where I don't think it would be worth it for them.

This time is different, though.  Wii U's own games will be available for  download on day one, and they've previously confirmed Gamecube games.  So, assuming the Virtual Console still exists on Wii U, you think they'll have NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, and Wii U, but NOT Wii?  That would be a strange oversight seeing as it's their best-selling (and therefore most popular) console of all time.  They may wait until they stop manufacturing the Wii to go that route, though.

@OP: I don't see how he can call Kid Icarus an evergreen just yet, as each week it's dropped in sales.  I do, however, agree with the overall premise that an epic action game doesn't have to have all of its sales first week--if it's good and it's properly marketed, it can go on to sell for a good long time.  Take Donkey Kong Country Returns--it opened to 550k first week (granted, one territory only) and went on to sell over five million.

I find it funny that while they have no plans yet to bring Fire Emblem overseas, they have already set the new Brain Training as a dead cert for an American release. Gotta get that casual market.

Man, I didn't think that movie would be as bad as people told me it was, but I was so disappointed.

Whatever, Iwata off a duck's back.

@MrT-Tar Strange, I thought they said they had no plans!
