Nah, I say keep the money in SCEA, Pullus as CEO would only sell games to mostly Japanese and probably lose most of the North American gaming audience. |
And he would force a change of art style of most american games with this:

Underlined: That is not always true, but in Sony's case it is. Why buy the Move if you already own a Wii? Why buy Sony All-Stars if you already own Super Smash Brother Brawl? The Kinect is not a copy of Eye Toy, it is a vast improvement. As for your FPS-example, it is just like buying milk. You know you like it, but you will always have to buy new milk to keep it fresh. |

by this logic you would be required to agree that Crash Team Racing is not a copy but a vast improvement to Mario Kart 64 and that none of Sony's kart games are copies of Mario Kart.

Gaming wise? No. Nintendo was the most original out of the big three by starting the whole motion control trend.
Hardware wise? Yes. That price tag was indeed excessively original.

SuperBot's development team contains some fighting game veterans and they know what makes a game "hardcore" and competitive. I say put a little faith in them before writing it off completely. |
Its hard to see it with this system actually, in a 1v1 this would be boring since you can kill someone with just enough meter and would get predictable as hell, they will be playing the cat n mouse whenever one fills the meter. They could be veterans of fighting but the smb franchise is radically different form other fighters and would have to be really a fan of it to understand what made smb so good competitively.

I have not played any of those Sony games.

Not even comparable. None of your examples included any additional buttons, let alone analogue sticks.

Sales wise, yes.
As for that vido you just provided: If Nintendo was unoriginal to copy that system, then what was Sony who eventually copied Nintendo and made an almost exact copy without any notable improvements?
