Anyone can be tricked into carrying bomb parts to assemble a bomb into an airport.

If you thought outside the box, if we never would check babies and old people wouldn't they use them?

Caring about life, our fragile economy, or planes crashing into buildings does not make you a P*ssy.

In the last week TSA agents a 90 year old woman and 30 year old woman with a dead child gutted and filled with drugs were all arrested in different incidents.

Actually the Airport screeners (some airports have private contractors) have stopped terrorist and drug runners and people with gun quite regularly, it doesn't make national news but it happens all the time.

No one has the "right to fly", but it is a useful convent way to travel. In today’s society, we have this threat level that won't go away. In Russia there have been plane disasters dealing with terrorist post 9/11. Subway and bus bombings in England, and train bombings in Spain. The US foiled flight bombings at Kennedy airport post 9/11 and multiple attempts directed toward NYC. I know that you have it made up in your mind of what a terrorist is but I can assure you that it could be anybody and that person may not have any knowledge of it. In Iraq they use mentally challenged women, animals, trash, dead kids....It is real and just because we didn't as of now, have had any major problems don't mean that it is unnecessary. It's like locking your locker at the gym or your front door at your house every once in a while...it only takes one time. But hey, you may have your mind already made up, that's cool but I’ll take my chances with the pat downs rather than the risk of a plane with my mother and father exploding or crashing due you some of you guys' assertion that we "man up" or pretend that no one is trying to kill us simply for ideology.

Any place in the world could be attacked (And have been), yet the USA is the only place to have such things as the TSA.

But hey give away your freedom if you want thats up to you. Next thing you know the will be scanners checking you when you walk outside your own house, but i guess something like that would make you happy too?.

Anyway storys like this makes me happy to be living in europe.

Spoken like a person who hasn't been to Europe. I'm living in K-town Germany and I can assure you that Europe has TSA like security, so does Israel, So does northern Africa, so does S. Korea, so does Japan....I absolutly hate liars esp. when you can't prove your point so you distort the truth. BTW, look at Mexico and Canada too...

Just because you chose to quote a famous dead person does not mean that you are some type of intellect nor does it mean that the quote in question is correct.

I guess everyone is entitled to their opinion even if they are paranoid and dead wrong. Also I like when people quote dead famous people as if that validates your point at all. "ouch, that fucking hurts" -Julius Caesar

you realize in America we have this thing called the constitution, and in this little document, we have the 4th amendment. this amendment protects citizens from searches and seizures without probable cause. Going on vacation is not probable cause. What the TSA does is illegal, its unconstitutional. Doing this in no way made anyone safer. it wasted peoples time, and pissed people off.

and no Israel does not do this, and if you need another example the San Fransico airport doesnt either. becuase they (of all cities) opted out of the TSA.

Ha! You talk about the Constitution like it applies to private entities. And its interpretation is an ever going debate. It is easy to say something doesn't matter but have nothing to back that statement up with. But hey, you're a risk taker, I get it. I've seen firsthand how that works being originally from the Bronx and seeing creative ways for people to kill, serving overseas. I'm glad not all of us are.The government took over the security so it wouldn't have taken over the airlines. And it's funny that you say it doesn't make anything safer but it is just an opinion. I get it though, according to you we will be so safe like pre 9/11 by going back to their old policies. That’ll work out for us.

it does. also i am saying patting down that girl, didnt make any one safer. are you trying to argue that it did make people safer.

also the TSA's policies have led to ZERO halted terrorist attacks, their policies didnt stop the underwear bomber, the shoe bomber, the christmas day bomber, or anything. in fact they still let people fly that are on the no fly list. their policies dont work, and are slow and innefficient. people arent guilty until proven innocent.

i never said go back to pre- 9/11 policies. i said we need to get rid of the TSA, and be smart with security. that means use existing inteligence channels and enhance the ones we have no, we need to profile, we need better trained security companies, we need private companies with employees that care.

how come San Fransico doesnt have constant terrorist attacks, and yet they dont use the TSA, how come they dont have TSA policies, and are still safe, are much faster, are more polite, and people actually like their security.

better yet, how come Israel with an order of magnitude more terrorist plots, dont have any attacks on their airports, yet dont have TSA policies, they dont pat down random people, there are significantly quicker, and actually stop threats.

I hate reading stories like these. I feel for the girl and her parents but I also understand what the agent were doing and I'm sure they weren't enjoying doing that to a little girl either. It's just sad that we have to do stuff like this to people.

You DON'T have to do this stuff to people. Here are two questions for you:

1- How many terrorists have been caught due to groping 4-year olds, or 90-year olds, or 30-year olds for that matter? How has that helped?

2- Do planes keep falling down from the skies in countries that don't grope people before they enter a plane?

If a big proportion of the American public believes that things like these are necessary, then the U.S. is truly becoming a country full of pussies. One or two terrorist attacks is all it took?

You're right, but people aren't going to listen to you if you're going to be obnoxious.

Its not that the US is full of pussies. Everyone simply agrees we need security at airports, but most just don't know there are better options than the TSA.

A lot of airports actually want to get rid of the TSA. But they're forced on most by the government. This is just another example of how big government does everything poorly and its worldwide problem.

It's not about being obnoxious, it's about calling a spade a spade. If someone is willing to let their kids be groped for some nebulous promise of "security", I believe they are indeed total pussies.

You're wrong about it being a worldwide problem. In Europe I never got groped in order to board a plane. And Europe is pretty much the paragon of "big government" according to Americans (never mind that the same opposers of "big government" are often the biggest supporters of the death penalty which is essentially the government's right to outright kill someone that they judge guilty of certain crimes, but that's a whole other story).

Call it what you want. But if you're going to be obnoxious people are going to ignore you. Regardless if you're right.

TSA does crap like this to create the illusion there isn't profiling and i agree its crap. People that believe we need the TSA are ignorant, but not everyone agrees we need the TSA per se. Calling them "pussies" though, well its just not the right word.

I meant big government anywhere creates problems. When government is forced every aspect of our lives problems happen. Europe going bankrupt regardless of ridiculously high taxes is proof of that.

Persoanlly, I support the death penalty. If you're proven beyond a shadow of a doubt as guilty of murder than you deserve to die. I'd rather violent animals be put to death and not be a threat to anyone else.

Frightening and harming toddlers physically or mentally is a disgusting act. Nothing justifies scaring a 4 year old toddler half to death.
