I always actually had a theory that maybe the energy the is released when someone dies is sent to an alternate reality and that in every alternate reality there is always an even balance of living organisms. I figure if a new life form is created one is created in every alternate reality/universe.

This theory went with my alternate theory that ghosts appear when the energies of an alternate reality/universe leaving and/or entering another.

A couple of days ago my PS3 turned itself on when I was just about to go to college.

It was weird.

You saw it while it was turning? Could have been someone else.

Yep, I was in the living room on my own. PS3 a meter in front of me, and the controllers were lying next to it.

Now i would love to see that. Had a good look on the scene to look for any rational explanation?

Most scary things that happened around me got busted, and i don't have many interesting ghost stories.

I don't really find electronics misbehaving to be spooky; just kinda something to expect when you're dealing with currents of energy flowing into them via imperfect current conversion devices. The signal to turn a system on or off can get replicated by a sudden current jolt, assuming it hits at the right frequency. While that's highly unlikely, it's not impossible; hence why you'll occasionally hear stories of TVs, computers, etc. turning themselves on or off for no reason. Though turning themselves off can be caused by a lot more than that (everything from failing hardware to a power outage).

Somebody once said something along the lines that technology, improperly understood, is indistinguishable from magic. Given how complicated technology has become, it's a wonder any of us can interact with devices like computers and not be mystified as to how it can even work. We've come a long ways since the days when the incandescent bulb was invented, that's for sure...
