~~~~ Mario Kart 8 drove far past my expectations! Never again will I doubt the wheels of a Monster Franchise! :0 ~~~~
And this game is announced simply in Nintendo direct? I wonder what big things Nintendo will show on E3 that they had now time there for the 3DS-Mario.
I said this some time ago, looks like this year is going to be THE year for 3DS. Nothing in the future will surpass it for the system. Not even a Metroid + Zelda + Castlevania + Megaman (but they surely could try) |
Actually a new metroid, zelda and castlevania in one year probably would surpass it (for me) but I doubt that'd ever happen at once.
I just pray nsmb2 ds doesn't have the same dumbed down difficulty level of the first (only talking bout the ds game here, the wii game was fine in that department)
Ps...the KId Icarus patch...is that for the controls and did they say what it actually does? I may wait for the patch before I continue to play it as I don't find the controls 'ideal' as they are.
If they really were desperate for cash they would have made it a launch title ;)
I wonder how this will sell in comparison to Super Mario 3D Land. Will they be competitors in terms of sales? Considering how well Super Mario 3D Land is selling, it's entirely possible New Super Mario Bros 3DS won't be able to outsell it. Consider that after 22 weeks in America, NSMB DS had sold 1.35 million (out of 6.3 million DS sold) and that Super Mario 3D Land has sold 2.3 million in 22 weeks (out of 5 million 3DS sold). Granted, 3D Land has had a holiday season, but it's still performing just as well as NSMB DS, if not better.
It's similar in Europe, although the difference is slightly smaller (1.5 million vs 1.1 million, with 5m 3DSes vs 7 million DSes).
I'd say 3D Land has a decent chance of selling more than NSMB 3DS, which is something I'd never have expected before 3D Land launched.
