There is no rule against saying your alignment.

You said you will not answer out of respect to a non-existent rule.

Hatmoza is not saying that that is your role. Hatmoza is saying that you are acting like someone who's job is to be lynched.

However, lie detector role doesn't work on riddles. A lie detector can't quote a post and ask the mod "is this a lie" because it's a riddle.

I wanted plain English.

But how did he know how to counter the lie detector? He played a damn good move then. I'm gonna see how fast I can google Mafia lie-detector and check the results, brb.

For shame, should've played that better, it litterally took me 5 seconds to find this:

Lie Detector

Lie Detector
Alias: none
Alignment: any
Role type:
  • Informative
Choice:
  • Night

Summary

Each Night the Lie Detector sends the Moderator a post or statement made by another player, and the Moderator tells the Lie Detector whether that other player was telling the truth when they made that post.

A sample use of this power would be to find out whether a role claim is true or not. However, trying to use this ability on something that cannot be verified objectively (i.e. whether someone was telling the truth when they said that a wall of text was a waste of time) the moderator will likely just say "I don't know".

Lie Detectors tend to be Town, and also tend to be X-Shot.

Town-aligned Lie Detectors can easily translate themselves into Cops simply by forcing each player to say "I am aligned with the Town". Thus, they are not seen often at all.

2. if you had wanted to find info in it you could have done so when you read it or saw it talked about the hour plus befor you asked.

3. If you think it is so critical why did yo uskip over it the first 5 times you saw it plus the huge amount of post dedicated to it.

2. I already read it loads of times, I just wanted it posted up again so I didn't have to keep changing pages
