Forums - General - Mafia Round 40. Pokemon! Gotta Catch them all!

Okay Stefl, you might be right... His final post, where he didn't care anymore, said "I am townie", so why the whole charade?

He must have misunderstood the rules and thought that he should just give a poem to the lie-detector regardless.

unvote: Basil

And then let's not modkill him either. If you want to modkill him, you're playing double-standards.

@noctis

Is it possible to modkill happydolphin, but have his possible sibling stay alive? Please...

Scum radar detecting strange activities.

@happyD - that is why I do not do modkills as mod - but the mod is king and if he decided to modkill I won't complain about it - modkilling someone is not in the players hands...

@Rol.

If that were true I wouldn't be trying to get day 1 happening, would I?

Serious question:

Is there a role in Mafia that wins by getting himself lynched? I recall something like jester has been mentioned in either this round or the previous round.

Yes, but they usually don't want to defend themself, and since I think what you are trying to get at - I don't think happyD could be a jester (any other way than lynched is a lose for the jester)

Yes the jester wins by getting himself lynched, and usually the game continues on afterwards letting another faction win as well. Jesters are extremely uncommon though because it's such an anti-Mafia role.(rewards playing scummy)

Also, modkills are usually done improperly here. If a modkill benefits town(and with Basil heavily leading in the votals it would, regardless of his alignment) then it should result in an end of the day. Modkilling a player that has simply dissappeared and has no significant suspicion or a player that has broken a rule after sufficient warning should result in the day continuing.(because more often than not those benefit scum)

BTW guys the day hasn't ended yet.

Hmmm... since usual VGC-Mafia rules are not mentioned in the op... linkz has a point that modkills could be handled a different way in this game T.T

Okay.

Now for the more recent events: hatmoza has claimed to be a one-shot vigilante (I think) and threatened to kill HD at twilight, if the other sibling doesn't come forward to prove HD's claim that he is a sibling. What's your opinion on this?

I had a feeling hatmoza could be a vig. Whether it's true or not, I can count on hat to put town in a worse position with such a threat.

Sibling never came forward. So do you still believe that there is a sibling? Surely the sibling would come out and try his luck with scanning/protective roles protecting him during the night rather then me killing his dear sibling, no? I mean the sibling is just as dead if I kill Dolphin ...

Try giving another explanation to why the sibling didn't come forward yet. Enlighten me. I'm actually all ears.
