Forums - Gaming - Is the hate for EA justified?

It´s very funny how everybody about EA buying all the companies. This is how the game is played Whether you kill the competition or you let them work for you. And Bioware is bigger and stronger then they ever now they work on 3 projects at the same. Bigger company = more employees, more employees=stronger economy.

Yes, I think the hate for them is justified.

By the end of the year, 4 DLC's would have been released for Battlefield 3, most probably for £12 each, coming to a total of £48. It's disgusting that EA releases a game with bare-bones multiplayer and within a year releases additional content with a total cost of more than what the game is worth itself. What pisses me off is that they make playing Battlefield 3 without a map pack a nightmare, you're constantly getting kicked from servers that tell you that you don't have the map pack when they could just easily put you in a server with only non-DLC maps. When only a quarter of the maps will actually be playable, imagine how bad it will be then.

EA are scum, they know it and they are proud of it. They don't care because we can't do anything about it, they will keep acquiring developers and franchises, and no matter how much we protest, we will still keep buying their games.

Yes, Madden. Done.

Oh, and what everyone else mentioned... they're just the worst of the industry. What do they care, though? They're still making money.

They totally ruined Command and Conquer, my favourite PC franchise of all time, when they bought Westwood Studios, so ya, they deserve every ounce of hate they get!!

Who's fault do you think that is?

(Hint: the consumers that complain, like the ones on here, and then buy their products)

I'm not part of the tumor that is EA, luckily.

According to your profile you´re playing Battlefield 3, and did you buy the all DLC´s?

But seriously, you can't give EA that much of the blame. They are a business, 1st priority is to make money and they do it very well. It's the consumers who buy and support their products. The same consumers that then complain about how horrid EA is.
